I would like to know what you guys think about how the season being later will affect teams that primarily pass the ball.

It's an old adage that defense and running the ball make good post season teams.

I think this might be more true now than ever but want to know your thoughts!

Yeah this week should be interesting but I would definitely be more worried about what the weather could be like in late November and December.

That Camdenton vs. Webb potential matchup could be bad for Camdenton with the weather but IDK how much Camdenton's offense will be affected

Is there anything that says, “I’m a Neanderthal” like using the term “pass happy”.
I prefer “teams not still stuck in the 70s” or
“teams not still playing cave man football”.

Yea it’s funny that the most successful program in the state that wins 92% of their games lines up and just runs runs runs it down their opponents throats.

Heck I remember them playing some St Louis team in the Dome and ran the ball down their throats for almost 400 yards rushing. Heck their QB ran for 248 yards and them city boys never did figure out how to touch him much less tackle him lol

Don't think it'll make much of a difference. Weather shouldn't affect the good teams.

I say go back to 8 regular season games, start play-offs week 9, Week 10 is the 2 lowest seeded teams and two highest seeded teams (higher number gets home game) that lost districts play each other and district winners face each other in the semi-finals. That way you are already 2 weeks into play-offs at that point and season will not be so long for players.

Calpreps doesn't have it factored into their predictions so I doubt it matters much.

Or just push basketball season back a little bit. Why do they NEED 25 games?

Is it possible to push the start dates back for winter sports?
not as of right now. I'm not sure that they are planning on doing it either. Basketball starts Monday and half the teams in the state will still be playing football. Crazy stuff if you ask me

are there farms in WC?

Why play one game a week for 15 weeks, start one week before school begins, that is still part of the summer, and have some teams finish two weeks before Christmas. All for a sport that is losing more and more 11 man teams every year. And you say winter sports is too long?

You can cut 5 games off basketball season and no one would even notice.

It takes so long because you CAN'T safely play more than one game a week...unlike basketball.

Want to keep a 25 game season? Fine, play 3 games a week.
