Yea I know. But my point is that a lot of this generation's pitchers are afraid to throw inside. Instead of the hitters having fear, its actually the pitcher who is afraid.
Anybody know how hard Gibson, Drysdale and others were throwing? We know Ryan was throwing 100 and I'd bet he knocked down a few in his day. It didn't have to be because a guy hit you too well, a lot of the time it was because the opposing pitcher hit one of your players so...
