Obama added 9.3 trillion (most by any president ever). Trump won’t surpass that even with another term in office.
Well sure.
Obama had to deal with the Great Recession. He signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act in 2009 for that. It’s been estimated to have increased the budget deficit roughly another $840 billion.
Obama and Bush both doubled the debt in their terms. Trumps pace would be about a 40% increase. Too much but an improvement. I'm hopeful he will take it on in a real way.

Trump is spending too much as well but the alternative is someone that will skip doubling the debt and go straight for tripling. So it is like complaining your house cat eats too much and going out and getting a lion.
I know! Every President (Congress plus President) spends like crazy because it gets votes. Trump has spent on the military and I think that is better than stimulus plans etc. but if he would make it a focus to cut spending like he has regulations, he could leave a real legacy.
Saying all that, it truly is silly for folks to complain about his spending when he's the best option we've got or had in some time.
One of them had that 'small issue' that happened before he was elected and both sides voted for the bailouts and everything else that was done to keep us out of the dumpster. What is Trump's excuse? If Trump keeps going I'm sure he can get it done again. Oh wait he has a plan to cut stuff he promised not to touch while stealing money from his grand military budget to work on his wall.
