I say not one of these teams will win 4 conf games. They are all very poor. Div 1 basketball
in Missouri is as bad as I have seen. Southeast missouri is winless , just shows how weak
high school basketball is in Missouri.

What the heck does your statement about D-1 basketball in Missouri have to do with Missouri HS ball?

I believe Missouri is cranking out some extremely talented players (Tatum, Porter just to name 2). The players in high school in Missouri isn't the issue, it's that the in state schools aren't making a big enough push for those talented players. But would you go to Mizzou over Duke?.....

I agree with the premise that those teams are hot garbage.

I disagree that it's a reflection of the talent level in the state. It is, in part at least, a reflection of those three programs inability or unwillingness to recruit the top talent in the state.

Going to be tough for SLUH to win more given how few conference games they play relative to the others.

Depressing to think that Mizzou is going to have to battle to win 12 games. Kim has to go.

Illinois sucks this year, too, does that mean their HS teams are terrible, too? Not when so many play college out of state.

No doubt...what incentive does a top 200 national kid have to go to Missouri right now, let alone a kid like Tatum who can go anywhere to play his one or two years of college ball?

To answer the original question UMKC probably wins the most conference games of any MO team because the level of competition they play against is so low.

I think KA gets 2 more years. This years bunch of freshmen are ok and last year should be a freebie because Haite left the program in shambles. They need to show some improvement this year which I think they will. One improvement is the fact that they don't have someone suspended every game.

2 years after this one? Maybe in a stay busy job elsewhere in the athletic department. No one is getting a fourth year at Mizzou if they don't win 15+ games and at least 7 in the SEC in their third year.

Really, the SEC is bad enough most years that not doing that in your second year is a fireable offense at a school with Mizzou's resources and facilities. It's not like KA has some banner recruiting class coming in next year that they need to protect.

Haith didn't help KA but he also worked hard to make sure some of Haith's guys left town after him.

With the dibockle they had in football season I'm not sure Calipari could get recruits to come. I'm all about them winning more but Anderson's mountain he had to climb was a big one before that, now it just got worse. Kinda like trying to climb a snow covered hill with racing slicks on a stock car, just isn't going to work. I'm a KA supporter too. I feel bad for the guy.

Come on, that is old news already. Kids aren't going to not play basketball at Mizzou because of that. No one will care about that in two months.

I don't know what you're smokin but I'll bet many kids, and their parents, will think long and hard before going to Mizzou for sports or just school after that mess.

It's old news already. Keep in mind Mizzou's class is already full for next year, you're talking about kids who don't have to make a decision for almost a year now.

I think a lot of people want people to be fired up about it but the average person really doesn't care all that much about something that happened over a month ago already. You know what they do care about? The fact that Mizzou's team is still bad. The high quality of the facilities. Things like that.
