Who will Staley hire?

Given we have never met you do not know me at all. A lot of people do not want to work these days, though. Turnover industry wide is amazing and not in a good way at all and is our #1 expense. I think you are missing the point: employment is not a marriage but there are right and wrong ways to go about making a change. If you give ground to one employee holding you hostage for a raise then it will spread like wildfire. Been at this 36 years next month have learned a thing or two along the way..............
I was just busting your chops, I'm not in the industrial world but in my world if you've got the leverage you maximize it, because again it ain't a marriage and there's a lot of places to go. That's all beside the point though

There is no doubt the old school "job for life" is pretty much out the window. In saying that (have I ever learned this one) excessive tracking i.e. not showing ability to stick with a job long term I would think hurts in any profession.

Come work in the STEEL INDUSTRY!! I managed work for American Pipe & Steel my ENTIRE life! Anyone quitting the steel industry plain couldnt cut it!! No room for weak links here!

Still ABSOLUTE radio silence, folks. Would have thought if this had no legs Kearney folks would have come on here to debunk it all fast......................hopefully something breaks soon! We are suddenly only 6 plus months from the 2024 season not to mention 7 on 7s etc................

Last time NKC district flirted with him they offered a pretty large sum. Completely different situation though.

I just stumbled on this thread online about D2 coaches salaries from 2018. I'm sure they've gone up substantially since then. I looked it up, because I figured Jones would be making way more as a DC at UCM than he could make in high school, but maybe not? I know all this is public record since they are state employees.
NWMSU - Wright $145,000
UCM - Svoboda $133,058
PSU - Beck $130,945.05
ESU - Higgins $116,335.87
UNK - Lynn $111,925
MWSU - Williamson $110,000
FHSU - Brown $107,829.68
UCO - Bobeck $106,500
WU - Schurig $101,000
MSSU - Johnson $97,138
NSU - Robinson $75,760

If you are already pulling retirement, you don't want to go back to a Missouri high school. you want to double dip. Makes zero sense.

If the school deems it to be a "critical need" (not exactly sure what it's called) you can technically double dip even at the high school level. I know someone who did this but I'm pretty sure there is a time limit on how long you can do it.

NKCSD and Staley H.S. would deem a high school coaching job as being in "critial need?" Bahaha

You might even call and see if they got it
That is a good technique. I often got calls from folks who applied at the Ampipe mill of American Pipe & Steel. Asking if I had reviewed their application and/or resume yet. The thought behind it is a) it keeps them on our minds and b) their application/resume on top of the stack.

I bet the resumes with the lipstick lips print went to the TOP of the STACK

Correct after D coordinator at MV. You are correct and they really never stood a chance in any of those games. We shall see what happens.................all I know for sure is Basketball seems to really be taking over at Staley.
Yeah, so much for my splashy hire theory. The basketball coach is the AD, but I also wonder if the move to C6 has taken the shine of that job. Facilities are fantastic!
Will Liberty North be able to sustain dominance or is it rotating over to Liberty or someone else?
Why is Park Hill never in the conversation in C6 sports? Huge student body, with lots of athletes, but the only sport they've been championship level in is wrestling.

As stated earlier beginning this year I think Liberty-Liberty North will be MUST WATCH C6 football. The Jays are absolutely loaded the next two years minimum and North still has a huge stable of top athletes from which to choose.

Park Hill is indeed a huge mystery. Will defer to someone more "in the know" over that way.................

The last year that they were top drawer competitive was 2017. That was the year that their WR Ronnie Bell won the Simone Award. They made it to the class 6 semis and played Blue Springs @ Blue Springs. Blue Springs was typically huge upfront on both sides of the ball and really pushed the Trojans around. I remember leaving at halftime and heading straight to Arthur Bryant's !
I should add that Bell after a college career at Michigan, now plays for the 49ers...

Liberty North. Losing several multi-year starters, and these are some of the big ones:

Melvin Laster to UNLV
Jayshawn Ross to Alabama
Keelan Smith to Nebraska
Braden Gifford to Pitt St.
MicahJo Barnett to William Jewell
Manny Conley to Pitt St.

They still have the all-state QB and other good players coming back of course, but this is a significant group to try to replace.

Park Hill is a mystery. They have had one winning season in the past six years. During that same time, they've won three district championships and made a final 4 in soccer. Soccer school.

I remember us sitting on the Rock (visitors) side during that playoff game several of those veteran fans who've seen so much talent go through there ooh and aahing at Bell. That may have been his biggest prep game.
