Jeff City staying in Class 4 and being moved out of Hannibal's district must be feeling pretty good.

I'm more concerned about that travel but I guess just win out and stay at home but oof
Webb caught a very nice break with their district. Have to think it is another Carthage v Webb district championship. Half those teams in that district are just plain bad. Things will get tougher though after that playing either FO, GV, or PC. That first game after districts will be a nice game.

What is expected from Carthage this year? They generally are a tough out.

I'm not saying they didn't, but it's a lot of travel for someone. Anytime you got Webb/Carthage in the same district, you're pretty certain it'll be those two for the district title each year

Not a whole lot...but they do have some talent and size that will surprise some people. Most of the players outside of the O line will be underclassmen. Before varsity, the senior class won 1 game since they started in 3rd grade. But I fully expect them to be in the district title game unless they somehow play webb earlier in the tournament.

Big winner? All the Class 1 schools that fought to get any real challengers out of the way.
I really like what Class 1 looks like. With so many schools going to 8-man. It would put schools with enrollments of 250+ with schools that have an enrollment of less than 100. Makes it really hard to compete when a schoo could literally have 50-70 more males walking the halls than another school.

I was going to go to Camdenton tonight to see them, but football game got in the way. Lol. Wife got tickets for us to go to Bonner Springs, KS tomorrow night.
I’m not sure where my buddy went and saw them but him and his wife posted a bunch of pics this morning from it.

Is Bonner springs a better venue than Cammy? I’ve been to the Ozark Amp just not over in KS

Haven't been to Bonner Springs, so I'll have to get back to you on that. I guarantee I've seen them in dives much worse. But that's been some years ago.

Webb avoiding Republic is another amazing Webb break.
Yes district 7 is a huge break for Webb City dodging Republic, I'm sure Coach Mac is feeling good about that, much better shot to at least win some kind of trophy. You could also argue that Republic is a winner by avoiding Webb City and Carthage, however they get Lebanon.

This is basically the same district Carthage was in for a few years except swap Webb City for Willard. It was a little weird because Smith Cotton would go undefeated and nab the 1-seed but never advanced to the final.

Joplin also gets somewhat of a break by avoiding a KC district however they have Nixa so I'm not sure that's actually a break. Still I bet they are glad to see that.

They just kicked the can up the road instead. Now you have small class 2 schools with 180 kids playing with schools of 300 enrollment..

I think Webb winning their district and then losing the quarterfinal is overwhelmingly likely.

Prediction you absolutely will. Favorite as of today in District 8 is GRAIN VALLEY but will get an early peek at Platte County tonight plus they and Fort Osage are developing quite the little rivalry over in East Suburban KC.
