Who is the new guy?

I'm trying to figure out why we traded for Moss when we could have simply given Garcia some starts at third with Carp on first.

I was one of them 3r.
You and many others. I guess I don't get why Wong would be better in that spot. He doesn't steal many bases, they both get double figures in HR's and Carp's OBP and RISP numbers were still pretty good even when he wasn't hitting for average. I guess either of them could be a 3 hole guy with Holliday out because of their double and HR potential so let's let Wong have that spot and leave carp up front.

Come on Duck. Moss hit the ball on the nose 4 times last night. He gives us power and RBI potential and Garcia provides neither. Is it a great move? NO.but it is a move that could turn out to be another under the radar move that MO is known for.

Is it Garcia's .500 OBP or his high energy level that you don't like?

I hope Moss hits .700 for us. He hit one line drive and three cans of corn last night. Time will tell. Talk to me later. Like after the playoffs.

I must have watched a different game than u last night because those didn't look like cans of corn to me. I have nothing against Garcia. He doesn't have the pop or RBI potential as Moss. Time will tell!! The Cards don't value him enough to take Kosmo's place much less do any heavy lifting for the pop gun offense. In MO I trust!

Hopefully Moss can hit 10 bombs and drive in 30+ in August and Sept Maybe the 40,000+ crowds every night will inspire him. I'm all for
it. But I am also a big Garcia fan.

His at bats last nights made me worry more about him, not less. He hit the ball pretty well 3 times and it appeared warning track power was about all he could muster. I too hope he hit's well and hits a few bombs but those he hit last night are pretty much a can of corn at this level, they will be caught 99 times out of a 100. I do prefer those to strike outs just in case there is a runner at 2nd or 3rd to advance on the play.

Agree 3R. One of the weaknesses we have had in our losses has been lack of contact with a man on third when all we need is a fly ball or a well placed grounder. Grichuk has room for improvement by shortening his stroke with two strikes. Reynolds is a lost cause. Despite some memorable Hits this year, Peralta still isn't very good with RISP overall

Our big floor fan at school quit yesterday, so we are hiring Brandon Moss to swing at pitches until the parts come in...

lol Cain about to lose starting job but Cards offense allows him to have his best outing in 5 tries In my fantasy leagues any pitcher I have throwing against Cards I always start and it works out. How many more games will Wong start. The guy needs a break not fielding or hitting
