Class Four isn’t even worth the time.

The last time Webb City and Platte County played it was a very close 21-18 game in the 2017 semifinal game at Webb City. Nobody though that the Pirates would be in that game either. I would say the Cardinals are the favorite for sure, but I wouldn't completely dismiss the Pirates either. It's HS football, you never know until you play the game. Ask Trinity Catholic.

Nice thing to say about a group of kids who have busted their ass and made it this far. May not be worth your time, but I bet it's worth theirs!
Let me rephrase real quick: Class Four is being competed between two teams that are very familiar with this scene. We’ve seen this movie before, per se.

Of those 118 school's 12 no longer have football programs or they co-op with other programs.

Sumner (StL) co-op with Soldan
Parkwood (Joplin) consolidated into Joplin HS
Memorial (Joplin) consolidated into Joplin HS
Hardin-Central (co-op with Norborne)
Nodaway-Holt (co-op with South Holt)
DeLaSalle (KC)
St. Mary's (Independence) now St. Michael the Archangel in Lee's Summit
O'Hara (KC) now St. Michael the Archangel in Lee's Summit
Greenwood (Springfield)
Fairfax (co-op with Tarkio)
University High (Warrensburg)
Southwest (KC)
And that's about a third. A lot of those titles in a handful of schools. Goes to show even getting there is quite the accomplishment.

SATURDAY. Wow that will be a great tripleheader! Always great to see new schools/teams in the Finals (may sneak over to CoMo for the C5 game Saturday evening).

Over half the membership hasn't even appeared in the title game.

Apples vs. Oranges. These are always fun..................and as previously stated if the posters here were right KTown shouldn't have even showed up at any of the four (Floray sent me email after email after email about 2002-03) times they beat Webb.

I’m going with Valle, Ritter, Odessa, Webb, Jackson as the best football teams in their class.
Count me as one pulling for Lincoln in C1...............BTW how is Ritter winning C2? Now I see what you did...............yeah the prolly were. :)

Class 3- If they win, it would be Odessa’s second championship but the fifth for Coach Thomas. He has three as a coach at two other schools and one as a player.

Me too but, it ain't happening.
Never know,,,last time I saw Valle was up at Lamar couple years ago. After they got hit a couple times they were ready to get on the bus. Best thing to do is get into an old school junkyard dog scrap with them and see if they want any of it

I know what you are saying, but this version of the Pirates is not the 2017 version. I've seen them play three times. Good team. But they will not be able to stay on the field with Webb this time.

Like I said I would have Webb City as the favorite for sure, but I once saw a 3 loss Harrisonville team that nobody gave a chance go into Webb City and win. Then go on to defeat Parkway North who was supposed to win. Then take out Kearney for the title, who was supposed to win. At the end of the day these are HS kids playing. As they say in boxing, "Styles make fights." We can fuss and discuss, but until they play it out on the field you just never know.

Yeah this isn’t 2016. WEBB rolls in this one. cARTHAGE game is intriguing. Not getting to see Staley I’m not sure what their offense was all about. cTOWN can move the rock. Was thinking Staley was probably the best offense Jackson has faced is why I brought them up. Problem though I don’t think cARTHAGEs defense is that great while Jackson averaged some pretty good offensive numbers. Would like to see cTOWN bring it home just not seeing it from the defensive side.

No Staley had the best D Jackson has seen. God bless the backup QB but the Falcons O really suffered without the opening day starter. Jackson also had one of the more formidable D Lines Staley faced all year (Park Hill and Liberty North were the other prominent ones). As far as Carthage's chances who knows? If Jackson has a weakness it is they really don't even pretend to spread the ball around much on O BUT the windy weather may have played a role in that.
