What’s everyone’s thoughts on Valle/Lincoln?

It was a great game and Lincoln was definitely legit this year. Valle Catholic has a great coach and a hell of a program and Lincoln gave them all they wanted.
Looking at the state bracket I'd say:
1) Valle
2) Thayer
3) Pierce City
4) Lincoln
5) Cabool
6) Mid Buchanan
7) Marceline
8) Windsor
9) Penney
10) Hayti
I don’t see how Miller is not up there, and Lockwood. Aren’t they down there by Thayer and Pierce City also. They just have a different breed of football players that are clearly better than everyone else in the country outside of Valle. Watch out world, now that Valle has to move up in class, Thayer should win every state title unless Pierce City or Miller beat them.
What does lincoln have to do to get respect? Valle is great! Thayer was close because of terrible field conditions and Valle turned it over inside the 20 twice. Let’s not forget lincoln lost the best Defense player in the state for the whole second half, and lost by 3 points to no doubt the best team. So tell me again how they should be ranked 4th?
Well as far as Thayer goes, they held arguably the most high powered offense in Class 1(Valle) to 7 points until the final 5 minutes of the game when Valle scores and took the lead 15-14 to win the game. It’s just my opinion that that was a more impressive performance by their defense than what Lincoln did. That’s why I’ve got Lincoln at #3. That’s not disrespect by any means I wouldn’t think.
Hayti is probably better than 5-9 on that list imo, after seeing the Valle vs Hayti/Mid Buch/Lincoln games.
Valle was able to bottle up Hayti because their defense’s attention to contain/team tackling is head and shoulders above any other class 1’s program. Had Valle not taken them out I think you would see Hayti hit a lot of homeruns with their speed that simply doesn’t exist anywhere else in the state at this level. Unfortunately due to geography & Valle, you don’t get to see Hayti play many Class 1 common opponents the way you do with all the Central/Western teams.

Thayer, lincoln, pc, put them n a hat and choose. Thayer returns 7 to 8 starters, qb and best rb included. If they can stay healthy thru sca schedule will be awful tough. If cabool can get out of district with Thayer they have strong sr and jr to be classes, especially if they can get their best rb from 18 season back. PC and Miller graduate a bunch.

I never heard for sure, sprain or fractured, but it was an ankle injury. He was on crutches at the end of the game.

False. Was a knee injury heard the coach say after the game early word was a torn acl.
I agree. Lincoln proved they were the #2 team in the state. Got it within 3 points and Valle had to recover the onside kick to finish the game. Nothing taken away from Thayer either, they were great all year.
Lincoln most likely wins the state championship is 55 does not go down with a knee injury first play of the second half. Once he went out Valle was able to establish a run game in the second half. Dont get me wrong Thayer is a very good football team but Valle beats them by two touchdowns is they don't turn the ball over inside the redzone twice. The Pierce City in-front of Lincoln is possibly the worst thing that I have evr seen anyone post on this page.

I think you could put Valle, Thayer, Lincoln, and Pierce City in the same tourney 4 times and get 4 winners.
Maybe so but, 43-6? Hard to make a case they should be higher. Who did they beat?
Pierce City lost to Thayer on a last second field goal
Thayer was ahead of Valle until the last minute loosing by 1.
Lincoln scored in the last minute to get within 3.
Say what you think but it is correct comparing scores.
Is Lincoln the only team to lose a valuable player this year?
If injuries are factored in, maybe Miller is number 1.
Look, Lockwook was THUMPED by Skyline (who?).
Miller was THUMPED by PC.
Either MIGHT have made a little run in another quadrant of the bracket but they did nothing in the bracket to warrant ranking.
IMHO...Valle is clearly the best team. I think you guys are putting too much value on a single close loss. Valle survived the gauntlet by beating four really good teams in a row (Hayti, Mid Buc, Thayer, and Lincoln). They are the only team who could do that in Class 1 this year.
Caruthersville is a better win than any of the others have on their resume. The team Who is the one loss on Valle’s record..
If they had an opportunity to play a schedule that looked like Windsor’s or Adrian’s they might average 50 a game.. it just seems if you’re decent in that area of the state you’re gonna rack up wins over below average Class 1 teams will always wind up being ranked
How much better is Valle than Lincoln? Lincoln lost probably the DPOY for the whole second half, after a half time lead.
