Heard Craig Mish on TMA this morning. He said from everything he's hearing is that Reyes will be in the rotation and not the bullpen. Said he saw his minor league start the other day and he looked really, really good. Discussed again the prospect of a 6-man rotation...current four regulars + Reyes + Waino. Also talked about if Weaver doesn't get better soon, you could see him go down and Flaherty back up for a stretch. Essentially making it a rotation of seven.

Honestly, I'm not sure. I just look at it as having all of these talented young arms is a great problem to have and hopefully they can put them in the best position to succeed.

So true. Nice to have options!

Carlos hit DL today! Looks like all good players getting hurt and Marp and Fowler stay healthy UHGG! Gyorko hitting well, and owns Petco as Marp continues to play and look like crap but hey we got a good pinch hitter on the bench.

Great! Carp Ks 3 times and then hits a line drive for an 0-4 but will get another week of starts because the line drive means he is getting close,

I really, really hope that CMart to the DL means Flaherty to the bigs...and not Waino's return. Gonna be hard for this offense to win a game with Waino giving up 4 in 5 1/3 with 9 hits, 4 BBs, and 2 Ks...all while needing 106 pitches to do it.

I just saw that Lyons went on the DL and they have activated Cecil. Don't that just make your heart pound with anticipation?

Now, now 3r!! The Birds have invested a ton of money in this guy. Maybe they new what they were doing?

Really hard for me to believe at this point that Lyons or Cecil can get batters out at the rate Brebbia or Gomber could.

In an interview shown before the game Cecil says he's ready to go and has things figured and feels great. I guess that means if he can't giter dun this time he should retire? I hope he comes back and gets outs against everybody he faces for a month, well at least don't give up runs, cause that would be good for the team.

Big DP tonight! Good start!

They aren't going to burn a service time year of Gomber right now. Surely they will keep him stretched out as an SP in Memphis. Money considerations rule there.

Brebbia belongs in the pen, though. As does Cecil. The real questions are other guys like Hicks and Bowman, who just don't seem to have it YTD. Lyons, too, yeah, but he throws with the correct arm to get 506 chances.

As for Reyes, who knows? The DL tends to sort these problems out. I wonder how nervous the Cards are about pitching him, say, 120 innings in the majors, so how do they really pencil him in as a full time rotation guy right now.
