This sounds like a good one.CJ scores on a slant with 3:50
XP no good
28-20 West Plains
Not for CJIs this on radio so I can listen to the rest of the game?
Any block below the waist by a player not on the line of scrimmage at snap of the ball is illegal. Ball also has to be in the box, tackle to tackle basically, or it is illegal by today's rules.Unfortunately, CJ’s touchdown called back on a terrible call. Watching it live and on replay, chop block called but only below the waist block was the running back against the D End with nobody else anywhere close to them.
Or, correct me if I’m wrong - is that an illegal chop block?
Thanks, sort of figured I was wrong and then begin to have doubts when trying to google it. My apologies to the ref!Any block below the waist by a player not on the line of scrimmage at snap of the ball is illegal. The refs missed a lot of calls both ways, believe me. Both teams got hosed by the officiating crew tonight.
Doesn't MSHSAA assign the officialsWest Plains is a strong team. The hits from behind were total BS but apparently the officials are blind. They obviously can’t see the goal line sometimes as well. I think my 3rd grader could have done a better job.
Either way, they still outplayed them, personal fouls, chop blocks, facemasks, blocks in the back and all.
Hopefully Helias gets a better officiating crew. The Zizzzzzzzeerrrrrrrrs announcer was good.
#40 is darn good. May need some anger management but great player. Quarterback spins around like Sonic the Hedgehog. Quick, strong team.
Too bad WC is Class 5. Would love to see them whip that team.
Starting with the district semifinals, MSHSAA assigns the officials.no clue. Assume so.
