Golic and Wingo had the story on their show this morning, too. Talked about it a while
This story worse then politics in the twitter world. Half they did right thing half they shouldn't of punished the other players.
At least they called the coach out about still continuing to lie.
Gregory said after the news was made public that "a mistake was made."
He also said that he did not know Jackson should have been suspended for a game.
"That's kinda my wrongdoing of not knowing the rules and that he shouldn't have not sat out the jamboree, he should have sat out week one so that's what happened" he said.
As for the coach's defense of Jackson wearing a different jersey, Gregory said "that's a thing our kids do on the regular basis, you know, they try to change jersey numbers and sometimes don't let us know."
That still doesn't explain Jackson being listed as a freshman with a fake name.

Really? No kid in there right mind switches jerseys and no one knows!!! How would they get there name said and stats done correctly? This coach is a complete and utter imbecile!!!
He needs to step up and just admit what he did.
Yeah what he said... The only time you see kids change jerseys is if they need to get on an eligible number and even then they don't make up names.
Agree. Man up and just accept responsibility. He just looks like a fool with the unbelievable excuses.
Look, we already know that his character is totally lacking because of what he was willing to do. So, we shouldn't be surprised that he doesn't have the character to man up and own it.
Perhaps more shocking and disappointing is the fact that, as far as we know, not a single assistant coach resigned or vehemently objected to the blatant violation of the rules. Hopefully none will ever have the opportunity to lead young people again after their miserable failure.
After the fact the assistant coach that took over head coach responsibilities after Gregory was let go Wednesday notified school Friday morning of a second player that played in an ineligible game. After that is when they decided to shut it all down on Friday. Before that was just going hc gone and the orginal sit rest of season.

No he's probably said this in another interview but the news interviewed him on film and didnt say this. How could someone 40+ not be able to man up and apologize for an obvious wrong doing. Its like a kid is speaking here. YOU THOUGHT THE JAMBOREE COUNTED AS SITTING OUT A GAME????

I think you're misunderstanding me. Im not saying I dont believe it as I think they are lying on him. Im saying I cant believe he would actually say that. its stupid.
You stick around long enough you'll lose plenty of thread arguments with me, however right now isnt an argument, you're reaching for something that isnt there.
Don't worry I'm well aware of the saying about arguing with morons and them taking you down to their level and beating you with experience.
I was thinking I could change my identity and coach again and maybe the parents, administrators, grounds crew, refs and other coaches might not hate me for at least a couple of weeks.
