Ft. Zumwalt East offensive tackle played a key role in Lion success in 2010 and now he is ready for a solid final season. A season ago Nick Weisenborn and the Lions offensive line led the way as senior Marvin Byrd III combined for more than 2000 yards and 34 touchdowns in the Lions 9-1 season.

At 6-foot-4 inches, 270-pounds Weisenborn has great size. A solid student in the classroom with a 3.3 grade point average, Weisenborn has solid numbers on the grid iron. With a 5.3 in the 40-yard dash, he has a 400 squat max, and a 260 bench max.

An all-conference honoree as a sophomore and junior on the academic all-league team, Weisenborn was named first-team Gateway Athletic Conference last season.

Seeking a school which fits his educational needs, Weisenborn also wants to find a program close to home, with coaches he feels comfortable with.
Currently Indiana, UT-Martin, Illinois State, Eastern Illinois, and several smaller programs have expressed interest in that talented lineman.

Awaiting his first offer, Weisenborn has put in a solid summer in the weight room and at camps and will be a leader for the Lions this season.
