Whens' the last time both webb and lamar weren't ranked?

class 1 :Salisbury beat cole camp 30-15. Ummm...

class 2: next week should be interesting . Bowling green has played no teams with a pulse. Valle big.
Class 3: Strafford has a test this week then gets Fair Grove week 9.
class 4: Weakest class again this year
class 5: Ritter>>>>>> everyone else
class 6: So many teams that can win it here.

Why isn't Stockton getting any Class 2 love? That's probably where Lamar will have to go to win its district.

His first year was 1988.
This is when Webb City football as we know it began. It didn't look exactly the same as much of Roderiques tenure when they were turboclocking every opponent but they were very good and more often than not ended up on the W side of close games. They only occasionally went to the state championship back in those days.

I swear some of these media guys just look at records and don't even look at the competition level of any of them. For instance on Maxpreps Cape Central (who has beaten precisely nobody) is ranked 15th not top 8. I'm also surprised that Kirksville is still getting so much love from both rankings even though the only team they've played with a pulse they beat by one point and that team is 3-3

Some of the voters 'rep' their area in my opinion.

I don't know if I'd call it occasionally; after their first championship in 1989 with Kill in his second (and last) season there, in the 90s they went in 90, 92, 93, and 97. Does 2000 count in the 90s decade, too? Anyone? Anyone?

No doubt Lamar is down, but there are not 10 class 2 teams better than them. Lamar has the hardest schedule of any Class 2 team and it is not even close. More than likely Lamar will travel to Stockton for District Semi's and then Warsaw for the Championship. The Stockton game won't be close, however the Warsaw game is shaping up to be a good one. Fun fact, Lamar won the 2012 Class 2 state championship as an unranked team at the end of the regular season.

Agree, Maxpreps which is obviously much more objective has them at 7 which is prbly about right. South Harrison is at #24 according to them and after looking at their schedule, I have no idea why they are in the top 10 on the media poll unless we have some homers voting

If you consider Warsaw's first TD vs Adrian (go watch it) then factor in that Adrian's best player wasn't dressed out that tends to take the luster off that 'big win'.

That said, Adrian isn't the same team this year. They can't focus for 4 quarters. They make silly mistakes and don't take care of the football. That's not a prescription for success.

As far as SH goes, tradionally, the GRC has been a great small school football conference but the GRC isn’t anyone near the level of competition and quality that it was at 15+ years ago, so I agree, don’t think South Harrison should be ranked. If they were Class 1, I would say otherwise.

Also, the KCI isn’t what it once was 15+ years ago either so idk how legit Mid Buch is either. Not saying they aren’t, but the quality football in those conferences has dropped off big time.
