I was thinking the same thing. I think it shows just how deep class 5 is to be honest. You can still do calpreps projections based on the data already collected and it has republic and branson as a 1 point game. They aren't always right obviously but they are usually pretty close. I think Republic wins but not by 4+ TDs.....I just don't see that happening. More like half of that I'd say.

Probably right, but based on the eye test I would say they are at least 2 TD's better. Hopefully we will get to see in Districts.

The one I noticed was Kirksville. Pretty highly ranked for a pretty weak schedule so far

Likely to see that matchup in the District Championship. Tigers will have a good chance to host that even if they have a couple of losses. The bonus pts for playing up will help them.

After watching Republic play Joplin the other night. Very impressive team. Especially that QB, I'm actually surprised they are not ranked.

Glad to see South Harrison getting some votes, but Brookfield is in the same conference and is blowing out everyone. And they didn’t get a single vote.

Been saying since I saw their schedule that I think they will get through the regular season undefeated. GRC just not as tough as the CCC (although the CCC is down and especially at the bottom).

Republic has the same record as Carthage who is #4 and has played a weaker schedule. I thought Republic might be down this year and they really haven't got a lot of attention but it's very possible they don't lose another game. If they beat Webb City I bet they make the cut next week.

The next few weeks in the coc will be interesting since all the west teams play each other instead of all these bad matchups with the east.

Chatting with a Nixa guy the other day and he didn't seem to think any of those teams were any good. The vibe I've been getting from people in Nixa is that the COC is beneath them. Like way beneath them. And for this year maybe that is true, as it was true for Webb City for a long time.

I think 4th would be a best case scenario but it's possible. Just merely speculation since they aren't in the conference. I would say Nixa, Republic, Carthage and/or Joplin are almost certain losses. Webb, Neosho, Lebanon and might even toss in Kickapoo just based on their size seem like they could go either way. So I'd put them anywhere from 4th to 9th out of the 12.

The pirates are better for sure but I still think they'd mostly lose to the same familiar faces as previous years. Who knows. Kinda wish they had stayed so we could see.

Camdenton may not be the Camdenton of old, but the voters (who dont see some of these teams) gave that one a lot of weight and jumped them right in. They are not likely to lose, in the regular season, so, I doubt they are going to fall out.
