Seneca has probably 45 kids out 10-12 and seemed to play pretty good against Joplin.

Webb looked like Webb, scored three times on Joplin and only gave up one score late to the Eagles.

Webb has half a dozen linemen from 270 to 325 and all of them seemed to play pretty well. First string defense stopped Joplin cold.

Seneca may surprise some people
Webb has the potential to be good
Joplin may have a long year

I don't want to overreact since it was just a scrimmage but I was very impressed by what I saw on defense in particular. That Qb sack in the defensive series against Joplin was something to behold.

hope we have a good punt returner cause I think you are going to see a lot of him this year

The sack by #3 was amazing !!! I wish I had a video to post of it . He layed out the right tackle ...sent him flying in the air ....then crushed the quarterback. Not many defensive ends run like him ....starting wr/de ..crazy combo but I'm impressed

Joplin looks like they will have a very tough year. I was impressed by Senecas quarterback, makes great reads , runs well, but overall they will be middle of the pack big 8. Its hard to take much of anything from a jamboree because starters play maybe 6-10 snaps per team but I was happy that Webb had no turnovers and forced about 5

Seneca will surprise a lot of people this year and then the next two years, watch out! I could see a new king in the Big 8!

Whoa, pump the brakes. I don't see Seneca knocking Lamar from the top of the Big 8 anything soon but Seneca is a pretty young team and played pretty hard so I could see them the the upper half of the Big 8.

Based on the (Joplin) Globe article and coach's comments, the Eagles seemed optimistic? But the WC people on here seem pretty underwhelmed by Joplin. Did they really look that bad or just bad against WC. CJ by the numbers seemed to do OK at their jamboree, though Buckmaster had no reservations in expressing his disgust with his team's performance. Curtis Jasper on the other hand said he liked some of the things he saw his team do against WC, though no specifics were given, at least in the article.

I heard Joplin had several first stringers that did not participate due to being in trouble with the law for pool hopping in backyards. Heard charges were dropped

New blue unis must not have been bright enough for Flint.

Webb City by at least 3 scores.

Sign it, seal it and send it to FLINT.
Webb seems to be making a bigger use of the blue across all sports from what I've seen, it's a good look. Saw baseball had a new blue top this season as well.
