You know, I thought Willard actually came out and played a good ballgame. Their kids played hard all night. A good chunk of their offense line was out with injury so I think most knew it would be tough to establish the run effectively against the Cards. They had good energy and were hitting hard, just overmatched as you would anticipated lining up against Webb.
Hard to overcome the awful awful fumble call on the first drive (receiver hadn't even taken a full step when contact came) especially when you are facing a team like Webb who is good in so many different areas. That gave Webb a short field from the start and you know they are going to take advantage of those things. You could definitely tell last night that the Webb offense lacks the crispness when Roderique is out. Hope to see him back soon as he is a great football player and fun to watch. Webb just plays such smart disciplined football though. Burroughs and VanLue ran hard last night and I thought they were both very patient in letting their blocking develop and hitting the right holes.
