Perhaps this is just me but sometimes I have a hard time telling if Webb is really good ....or not that great ....or good but not playing well...I'd guess they gave up 300-400 yds tn . I'm having a difficult time telling much of anything really because they out big play everyone

As long as WC has more points at the end of the game than their opponent, who cares how many yards they give up. Sure, we all want the dominating defense but they’re probably a year away from having that again.
I agree . My comment was more on the COC overall and the level of competition. Untill districts start it's really hard to gauge how good the level of competition is . Once they start playing the out of confrence teams , it will become clear pretty quickly.

Speaking of districts...I saw where Marshfield beat Reed Springs last night . That surprised me a bit
That's an interesting comment. I felt like Carthage was maybe 'better' that night, but like you said - Webb "out big played" Carthage to get the win. When the game is over no one cares about anything other than the final score so really whichever team scores more is really the better team regardless of the formula they used to get there. Whether it was a few big plays combined with 40 minutes of meh or it was a full game of fireworks. The thing that always impresses me about Webb is how they seem to always find a way even when outmatched.
