We couldn't score on a terribly disappointing Chisox team .

The Padres are 5-10 in their last 15 games. We have them at home. They have given us 6 walks and we still can't score squat. 12 LOB thru nine innings.
Extra innings we go.

We make pitcher after pitcher look like cy young candidates.

We could have won the game in the 9th IF Bourjos had sense enough to steal a base when he had a 10 step lead against a guy with NO pickoff move. Surely he could steal 2nd with that kind of lead. Instead he can only go 1st to 3rd on the hit that trickled into left field.

There were 12 other men LOB.
I've been discussing this for 2.5 months.
Just because you are winning with great pitching doesn't mean it will last forever.
Now suddenly Bernie Miklasz says we need a bat. Duh. After this series we are on the road for 4 at the cubs and 4 at Pittsburgh. If we don't do something at the plate we will let these teams have hope and be dangerous.

I have been saying it all year. We can hit but we can't hit RISP No clutch hitters accept Holiday

Even several of the games we won we didn't score until the 6th of 7th inning. Bad offense. Good teams punish average pitchers. We repeatedly score 1 or 2 runs in 7 innings against a guy who is 3-7 with a 4.6 era.

None of those 12 guys are as fast as Bourjos and were not on first in the 9th inning with a pitcher on the mound that lobbed a throw to 1st for his pickoff move. If Bourjos had stole 2nd when had a 10 step lead he would have scored on the hit, game over. I guess when you have blinding speed but have thrown out 6 of 10 attempts you don't want to try even if they're giving it to you.

Once again. Tonight's pitcher is 3-9 with a 4+ ERA and a whip of 1.4. It took 4 innings to get our first hit/base runner. This is night after night after night. This is just total BS.

Big inning tonight scored a run on a double play hopefully that will be enough for Wacha

I get so tired of the announcers saying how good the opposing pitchers are. Hell they are under .500 and ERAs in the 4s. Dan and Al should just shut up. Time to hit the mute and play some jams

Sorry Wacha. You give up a run, you are likely to get a no-decision. No mistakes allowed. Great job Mo. Way to be proactive.

I'll be sitting in the 3rd row right behind home tomorrow and will probably get kicked out for yelling obscenities at the players for striking out or hitting into DPs with RISP. This is beyond frustrating. It was just a matter of time before this pop gun offense would start beating the Birds

We have minor leagues batting in the crucial spots tonight. We got two ground balls to second and a K. 4 straight home losses against bad teams. Another game in which we score one run.

So much for us "grinding" out atbats.
There should be fistfights between the pitchers and the regulars in the clubhouse.

The St. Louis Cardinals first baseman is batting 8th today. How many times has that happened in the past 100 years?

Well good luck finding a 1st baseman that has a big bat and is available. You know when Holiday comes back that's the only position on the field that has any chance of being open. Maybe somebody with a big bat 1st baseman needs a fast outfielder that can't hit much or steal bases.
