WC vs CJ

I know the family he lived with in Joplin. His parents in Neosho are...not good. A sad situation all around that is obviously not the kids fault at all. I will probably post it someday.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say you actually don't know the story.

well if there were a year one could complain about him playing it would be last year. If anything he should have sat out last year, but he would be eligible this year regardless.

What football offers does he have?

I’m sure he has multiple DII offers but the only DI offer to this point is Valpo. He’s a tremendous athlete no question. He did in fact sit out last year for 4 games if I remember correctly. After which MSHSAA ruled him eligible to play. The whole process was followed by the book and no rules were violated. The kid had an absolutely terrible home life everywhere he was until now. No fault of that kid at all. I’m honestly happy for him and very pleased to see Webb City give him an opportunity to succeed in much more than football and be successful. The amount of hatred and petty jealousy by adults on here is incredible. I guess it’s true what they say, it’s easy to hate success…

I don't know that anybody hates that the kid is doing good I like that the kid is getting a second chance. Sometimes kids need the disipline and structure that a sport offers more than the sport needs them. But it does seem that the rules tend to favor Webb alot....
I still remember It was not all that long ago that Kicker moved from Webb to Nevada and had to sit out a year. I claim to know nothing about the situation...heard rumors, but my understanding of the rules is the only way that happens is somebody in Webb's Administration checked a box, I don't see any Webbies crying over that kid losing an entire season so how much do you really care about kids... or is it just the ones wearing the Cardinal colors? But clearly a very good player moves from Joplin to Webb under some weird circumstances and all of a sudden Webb City is the hero for helping the kid out? Do you get the hypocrisy and why people have a hard time stomaching Webb's poor me attitude from fans on here.

Rules have nothing to do with it unless they are being broken.. there have been no violations period. If CJ, Joplin, Carthage, or any other area school dominated this corner of the state for the period of time Webb has, then people would find reasons to say the “rules” favor those teams as well. I’ll tell you what favors Webb City. They have an absolute legend of a head coach, countless great assistants and coordinators past and present, and kids willing to pour all they have into doing whatever it takes to win. There has never been a “poor Webb City argument from this guy. They are DOMINATE, but that stuff doesn’t just happen. There’s a ton that goes into it and none of it has to do with “rules” or violations of said rules.

Webb was sniffing around this kid when he was a freshman and obviously it was a good idea because there is no way they beat Carthage last year without him.

and they do it all with a bunch of 5'9" kids that are 155 lbs and run a 5.0 40!

I have heard the same story from a fella that is from Neosho. Glad a family in Joplin took him in to get him out of that situation.

Speaking of hypocrisy, it's funny how the Joplin folk can complain about every other local school getting transfers while they act like it doesn't count that just because a kid gets "encouraged" by the staff at Joplin to come to school in 9th grade they seem to think it makes it right. LOL For example the young man that is now at Webb was actively recruited by the former basketball coach at Joplin. This has been talked about by several local basketball coaches. Of course we all know the story of the Wright brothers who drove past CHS on their way to Joplin HS every day. But since they transferred in 9th grade it makes it all right. HAHA. Could you all grow up and quit bashing kids on here... The jealousy is amazing. How about we do some research on the number of kids that have transferred TO Joplin compared to other local schools. Not even close by a long shot. Of course nobody wants to talk about that.

The stuff about the Wright Brothers is fair.

We are talking about the adults using kids...not the kids.
Well if you knew the people taking care of him you would realize that using the kid for sports is like you all knowing what you are talking about.

What are their injuries?
The first broke his wrist . The second x rays came up negative. Badly sprained ankle . I assume both will be back when it matters . Webb is really deep at RB but these guys are starters for a reason so it would be great to have them back in a few weeks . I'm sure omari will be back at some point . The other depends where the break is honestly . I couldn't tell ya . I'd guess he will be back with a hard cast at some point but that's just a guess and nothing more

Webb City's other backs looked pretty darn good.

I remember talk about Joplin Parkwood "recruiting" back in the early 80s. lol

And they won. It works. It isn't a coincidence that CJ had their best teams around 2015 when they had several move ins.

The only move ins that I could remember were the Weston boys from KC. And they came during Wall's last season.

The boys on the CJ teams during 2013-17 were always good groups growing up. Any claim that CJ sniffed around that period to bring in kids would be a case of absolute and complete ignorance.

There were about 4 Weston boys right? I have no idea why they came. I am just using it as an example to say that move ins matter a lot.
