Securing the borders is an attainable goal. It's likely Republican power will block its implementation. So yes, one solution is to get killed trying to wipe out ISLAM. The other is to prevent it's spread into America. Both will have fatalities, but the logically I'd rather not send kids to die for an unattainable goal.

Things I believe/want:
-Relatively free markets/minimal regulation
-Small government/emphasis on local government
-America first/anti-interventionist foreign policy.
-individual liberty/individual choice
-personal freedom, as long as you aren't hurting/harming anyone else
-government's major/only role is the defense of United States citizens (strong military, intelligence community)
-transparency in government
-emphasis on education/school reform
-environmental protections (mandatory minimum protections)
-equal rights for consenting adults who are American citizens.
-American sovereignty, build the wall.
-support the 2nd Amendment and common sense gun control.

Sorry if I misspoke, RM was absolutely right, the federal government's main (if not only) objective should be providing a strong national defense.
In an IDEAL society, no one should have to FORCE or enforce God given rights like personal freedom or equality among citizens of a country. That should just be a given. But en lieu of common human decency and respect, that would fall to state and local governments to set and enforce those type of rules.
As for environmental protection, the way I wrote it, and the way I see it, is there should be a federal minimum standard, and then states can set their own as they see necessary, but they must meet the federal minimum standards.
Some regulation isn't a bad thing.
