The Missouri State High School Activities Association has requested interested venues submit proposals to host the state championships of five sports including football.
The last two seasons, Mizzou and Missouri State have each served as championship venues.
The Dome at America's Center could be in play to host state football once again. The dome was home to the state championships for 20 years, the longest stretch of any venue. It would have to submit a proposal that coincides with MSHSAA specifications.
There was significant cost associated with renting out the dome for consecutive days during its previous stint as home to the state finals.
