Lets get real. When you have a stacked deck like that (especially in the lower classes) you probably won't be touched. I'd say only Barstow has a shot, oh wait, another private.
Wow that team is something else. I figured it wouldn't be much of a game but 86-29? Is there anyone out there that can make a run at these guys
Where does it say anything about class 3 in this statement
I most humbly ask your pardon for me assuming that you were capable (as 99% of those on this board are) of reading a question and making a reasonable inference therefrom about the intent of the question. Otherwise, you are implying that sacfly is an idiot.
Reading the question the way you interpret it would mean you could have answered the question before the first ball was tipped this season. There are a lot of class 4 and 5 teams that could be a challenge for a class 3 team (even of their ability) as you have already pointed out and that would be true almost every season.
Also, generally speaking, when I see the phrase "make a run at" in the context of this point of the season I infer the author is speaking of the district and state games upcoming and the other class 3 schools which could make that run (not a one off event of one game with some class 4 or 5 team).
Sacfly, if I misinterpreted your question then I apologize for my transgression.
Maybe I should have worded the question better but yes I meant is there anyone in the same class as Tolton that can provide competition. The best school in my immediate area would be Park Hills Central and Tolton would beat them by 30-40 points in my opinion.
In my humble opinion, and I no it carries no weight on this board. Father Tolton is the best team I have coached against since the 92 Cardinal Ritter team. I believe they should be the favorite in class 3 going into the state tournament, with that being said I am sure Barstow will not be an easy team to beat. Good luck to both of them.
