For the record, in the pickem, there was 1 person who picked Mac to win.
Doesn’t change what I said.
Bad thing is, Mac won’t take advantage of it and make the playoffs for the first time this century.
Looked like a weak year in the OC. Branson had Lebanon on the ropes and had a chance to win, Kickapoo got bulldozed by Joplin. And then WP got beat by a middle of the road MC.
And Camdenton got beat by an Average CMAC Team.

I was going to post the same thing. Congrats to the Mustangs! Great to see a program that has struggled for so many years to have a good season.
And yet I still haven’t found a thread where anyone predicted Mac to win their district 12 weeks ago.
Good on the Mustangs. Had a family member that was a coordinator there back in the SW conference days.
I’ll be pulling for them against JC.
BUT, anyone who says they thought Mac were capable of this all year is full of it.
This isn’t the best tram they’ve had during this run or even the second best team they’ve fielded under Hoover and their best teams got straight spanked by the top teams in the district year after year.
Congrats to the mustangs and I hope they make the semis.
Cabool had the second best defensive line and arguably the second best backfield in the SCA this year, they just came out of gate too slow time and again.
That’s why they end up 5-6 and not 8-3.
Next year will be a rough year for the Dogs.
They graduate 7 or 8 on both sides of the ball.

Saying they were the 2nd best of anything in the SCA this year is not that impressive. They nor the rest of the conference is any good. Even the top dog Ava is not as good as we may have thought originally.
The next few years are going to be rough for Cabool. I would guess their coach finds another location to land. They have nothing coming. Willow and Salem are going to be joined by Houston and Cabool in the basement.
completely agree. Some ava friends get mad at me for saying that, but it is reality.
Ava is an above average team in a conference that just fielded the worst set of teams collectively that it has in 20-30 years
Well here’s hoping for at least a good game. I have a friend that’s an Ava alum but I’m pulling for Seneca and the Big 8.
Really what brought you to that area? Or did you see them online? Which game?
They may have been the worst team in the state.

So you are from there? Did you play football there? I guess I have missed a lot.
No sir. My grandmother's sister and brother in law, who did play football for the Bears, laid down roots there and theirs is one of the largest families in that community. I am a life long KC metro resident first generation here. All of especially dad's side of family is from the Ozarks MO and AR.
