We all know the real state championship game takes place in the semifinals so that will be one to watch for sure. The other side of the bracket seems extremely weak.

TopHat is Kearney deeper than they were last year? The injury bug last year was the only thing that slowed them down last year. If they stay healthy and get past LN I don't see much competition on the other side of the bracket.

They have a pretty darned deep roster numbers are on the increase since Minnick became HC. The D is better the O is not at least from a passing standpoint. The main feature this year is PHYSICALITY both sides of the ball. The lines are as good as I've ever seen here.

If you can stop the run game vs Kearney they can throw just prefer not to you have a chance. But scoring on this D will be a tall task for anyone they are big fast and strong. I haven't seen a D like this since 03 and that team was pretty special.

Kearney's starting D is giving up less than 3pts a game.

The weaker Beaver (that was the word when they moved here) looks like he’s got an NFL body.

Throw in Theo, Grant and the best sophomore class in the state and nobody is scoring on these starters.

Brinkley, the defensive coordinator reminds me of a young Greg Williams.

If you can stop the run game vs Kearney they can throw just prefer not to you have a chance. But scoring on this D will be a tall task for anyone they are big fast and strong. I haven't seen a D like this since 03 and that team was pretty special.

This D is actually deeper and the front seven is best of all time but I do wonder how they will fare vs. a top gun QB there is one potentially on the near term slate in Warrensburg. Running on them agree best of luck with that.

The youth of Kearney is what a scary. They have a few returning state champions and a long line of sophomores and JRs that are getting better each game.

Minnick has those kids living in the weight room, in my 65 years of seeing high school football I’ve never seen guys lift like those boys are lifting.
