Trump just needs a tie

I’m near Raleigh today visiting relatives. Local news is covering the event and it ain’t lookin good for Trumpy. Four rallies in N.C., (a state he won in 2020) in the last 3 days.

Better check with your relatives again Tootsie. I just checked with the American people and we're riding the TRUMP TRAIN for the next four years. Presidential landslide victory, Senate majority and House probably red. This isn't just a win, it's a statement that America is tired of this stupidity that has been going on for the last four years.

Good luck rounding up 15 million hard working people, putting them in camps and shipping them out. Should be great for our economy.

Yep. Misjudged the genius. Can’t wait to see how his tariffs make us great again.

Or how the policies of the administration before will, as every economist will tell us. It's the most asinine thing in the world that politicians of all stripes take any credit for the economy of their administrative term. At absolute ideal best, all they can claim, barring a massive natural disaster or worldwide pandemic or actual coup d'etat, is that maybe the last few months of their last year might have been affected by their policies in that term. I'd like to think that people are widely just uninformed on this, but I don't think that is the truth. I think people just do what people do and ignore any inconvenience that doesn't support their political persuasion.

Or maybe it doesn't take 4 damn years for the business world to react. You mfers need to get out ya momma basement and away from CNN.

You are oversimplifying. Some aspects of the business world do react, and immediately. So in that way, you are correct. But overall economic trends are an incredibly complex thing that involve an unbelievable number of factors that can't be simplified, no matter how much you want to pretend that they can.

Incidentally, I do not watch CNN. I couldn't even if I wanted to, and I don't want to. I find multiple sources from multiple viewpoints and make informed judgments based on evidence. I also try hard not to get into name-calling and stereotyping as it usually just confirms ignorance and an unwillingness to even try to learn something that may not conform to my worldview. I'm not always successful in that.

Your “I can have serious intellectual discussions with Trump voters” act is hilarious.

They voted for someone who thinks foreign countries pay the tariffs and he can stop both those wars in 24 hours. He said kids are going to public schools and coming home a different gender without parent permission. And they voted for him.
And you think they will listen to your logical arguments????
