They want them to be no more than 120 minutes including commercials and have no opening or closing statements. Is the length of the debates keeping them from their night life or from their sleep time? They say if their demands are not met they will not show up and they are trying to pressure the bigwigs of the republican party not to sanction the debate. If they do that anyone who participates would not be allowed on the stage of any future sanctioned debates. If that happens the CNBC debate would be cancelled because no one will show up.

For Carson I assume it's because his team has seen how bad he is at debates.

I have no clue on trump, maybe it's after his bedtime, or he has nothing amazing set up for his opening statement.

The bigger issue is that these 2 are now in a position to make demands on how the debate should be done.
They may not even really care. They just want to prove they can get what they demand.

Or Trump may realize he's getting more free advertising by pretending he is willing to not be in the debate

Actually Trump wants opening and closing statements. That will reduce time significantly for those annoying questions he has to answer.

According the the demands made by he and Carson he does NOT want opening or closing statements. He can fill his time and then some blabbering on about everything but the question he is asked. Then he'll complain they were unfair because they tried to get him actually answer a question.

Absolutely not what has been reported on any news outlet I have seen but i could do without the opening and closing statements to keep the things shorter. Especially with so many people on stage.

Riiiiight. You just didn't grasp what they said.
Just like you can't grasp the concept that a man who catches 90 mile an hour fast balls for a decades worth of games if going to have wear and tear on his left thumb. And you never did explain why Yadi has injuries every year now but didn't in his 20's.

Let me bend back the thumb of a 25 year old catcher and see what happens. There are many injuries you could attribute to age, or wear and tear, this is not likely one of them, move on.

Yea it is.

Yea it is.
Ok I'll move on. While I'm doing that find a young healthy kid at school and bend his thumb backwards and see how long he lets you do that before he breaks your arm to keep you from screwing up his ligaments. BTW how the heck did this get on the PC board?

Why do you think catchers wears these 3R?
Repeated pounding from year after year commonly causes thumb tendon issues.
Also known as "wear and tear". The tag exacerbated the condition. Watch the play it wasnt "bent back" much at all.
