Wanted to wait until class 2 Trinty played Lutheran St. Charles which is a decent
class 3 team. Trinty ran them off the field. Not sure when Trinty would play Lamar
I think it would be in the semis but what a game that will be. Thought Lutheran
North might give them a game but no way trinity has 2 d1 signes in the def line
both right at 300 lbs that can run. The speed is incredible in the skilled positions until
seeing them wanted to hold judgement but they are the real deal.

they are a private school in st. louis If Lamar Turbo these guys then they are beyond
incredible. Trinty is best class school St. Louis has seen in years.

no, they call me trinity, that is for all you old guys to remember, nice you like to back a team but as the ole saying goes, don't count your chickens

Lamar by 4 touchdowns. It's not even a comparison. Trinity may not even get out of their district, and if they do, Malden is no slouch.

NWalls, a friend of mine told me that Trinity was for real. As a Lamar fan, I can tell you that we take them seriously. But, we have to win games against other very good teams before we have a shot at Trinity. If we are fortunate enough to make it to the championship, we would enjoy the opportunity to play Trinity for the Class 2 title. But, being top dog, we get everyone's best shot. Their is a school we have faced in the quarterfinals the past few years that would love to knock us off. So, good luck to all the top contenders and hopefully we will get to meet in Springfield over the Thanksgiving weekend.

As a non Lamar fan I can tell Trinity would get turbo clocked by Lamar

Time after time, St. Louis has proved they are not near the same level as teams from the West.

Thats a pretty simple comment from a pretty simple individual. If only it was that simple. You really show your ignorance on the STL demographics compared to little ol'webb sitting in nowhereville USA. You really have no idea what you're talking about. There are more athletes recruited out of the STL region than anywhere else in the state. And the number of teams these athletes are recruited from would trounce the number from the west.

The past ten years: Class 3 to Class 6 state titles.

West 29. 73%
Central 4. 10%
East (including St Louis) 7 17%

Haha. Please

73% of all title match ups have a team from the Kansas City area.

In title games, KC is 19-7 v St Louis. In many cases, the KC champs have already played two or three teams in KC better than the St. Louis school that makes the final. So glad they are rotating the matchups to knock out the weak St Louis teams now. It could possibly be an all KC final in Class 6.

But St Louis is good at basketball.

Lamar is incredible but lets don't get crazy here and say their conference is anything
special. At least in the conference Trinity plays in and Lutheran North you have
competition from top to bottom and the kids get to play 3 to 4 qtrs only exception
this year Trinity head shoulders better than conference. KC is better in football I just
think Trinity has a tremendous class 2 team and will not be an easy out in playoffs or
Parkway North in class 4 .

The Big 8 Conference that you are saying isn't good is historically a great conference, it just so happens to be Lamar's turn at being the top dog. 6 of the 8 schools have won state titles, and 5 of those 6 have won multiple state titles. Lamar is having their run and it will end soon and another school in the conference will be next up. That's the way the Big 8 works, there's always a good team or teams year in and out in the conference. Last thing, comparing football on the west side vs the east side is an absolute joke. The east side has Valle and the west side has everything else.

Obviously you don't understand.

Obviously you don't get it. Take the TOP Ten teams overall the past five years:

36/50 (72%) are from the West. (52% are from the KC metro alone.)

3/50 are from Central Mo.

11/50 are from the East( St. Louis )(22%.)

There is respect for the top teams, but the competition level in the East is so low, we don't believe anyone is good until they play someone.

We will get a good look at what Trinity is made of on Oct 8 when they play John Burroughs. Lamar usually plays a team that JB plays in the later rounds of the playoffs (Monet, etc).

We have all heard the "This is the Year for STL teams to be good", on to see a S.E. Mo team beat them to advance. Malden may have something to give you before you look too far ahead.

Not sure how the Championship Bracket will be this year, But I think Dist. 1 will play Dist 2.

Here's who Trinity has beaten:

School W-L Class

Priory 0-6 C-4

Duchesne 2-4 C-3

Cardinal Ritter 2-3 C-2

Christian 0-6 C-3

Bishop DuBourg 0-6 C-4

Lutheran St Charles 4-2 C-3

Two of Lutherans wins came against Ritter and DuBourg.

So their schedule so far has been against teams who are 8-27 overall.

Burroughs is 3-3 this year and got thumped by Lutheran North. (Can't have Zeke every season!)
