Trinity's kids that were freshmen and soohmores that gave a good Lamar team in 2016 a competitive title game are now junior and seniors with a competent coach. They are going to be tough to stop.
This Trinity is a lot better than the team that lost to Lamar two years ago. They are better coached and they know how to play defense. They are the 2nd best team in the STL and I would take them to win any class in Missouri except Class 6 only because Class 6 has CBC. I take Trinity to win Class 3.

My heart will be with ANYONE they line up against.
Go!-Go!-Anyone they face.
If I'm forced to bet the farm? It'd be hard to bet against them.
I like itI'll take the field. Trinity has some of the best athletes in Missouri HS football, but they are in no way accustomed to the level of physicality they will face in teams like Maryville, Odessa, and especially Cassville. 11 good men beat 4-5 great ones every week in this game. I am sure they are more disciplined than years past, but highlights I have seen this year make me think their mental preparedness will still be an issue, and schemes still need a lot of work.
Trinity should sail through to the semi-final, where either Odessa or Maryville will be waiting. If they make it through that test, I predict they will meet Cassville in the championship. Cassville will be less athletic, but more disciplined, way more physical, more cohesive, better coached, and way more hungry than Trinity. My two cents!

Sorry, but Trinity has played physical teams in Colquitt, East St. Louis, and even LaSalle. If you think Trinity isn't a physical team, thrn you have another thing coming, especially from their defense. They are not playing around this year. It is going to take them playing their worst game (similar to Colquitt) for any team in class 3 to beat them.I'll take the field. To hear some talk, Lutheran North is the 2nd best team in the metro. I'd go with someone like Eureka or Ladue even before lumping Trinty and LN in the conversation as talented as they may seem.
I've got the field, and more specifically on the road in the semi-final. Not sure about Odessa, but it's hard to win @ Maryville late in the year.

I watched the game too. Whether Colquitt shoyld have beat them by more is irrelevant. What is relevant is Colquitt is more physical than any team trinity has and will face the entire year with East St. Louis being second and LaSalle is right there with the other good teamsbin Class 3. They are 0-2 so far, btw. I know it seems like forever, bit Trinity has only been good for 2 seasons prior to this one. They faced Lamar once and LN twice. One more thing, Colquitt would have done the same thing or worse to any other team in the state except CBC, and I still think Colquitt would win that one.Colquitt took out literally all who play any kind of mins in the second half. Trinity was lucky a 70 spot wasn’t put up on them. I watched it. And looked at the roster during the game. This was said about Lamar to during 2016. Of course kids can develop and they are better with coaching as well. But saying nobody has a shot? I’ll have to see it. The brutal truth is? They have a great shot. But they are 0-3 on the quest so far. So let’s wait this out.
Hardly anybody in the Stl area says LN is the second best team in the metro. Polls around here have it CBC, East St. Louis, Trinity, Eureka, Edwardsville, and so on. St. Louis Post Dispatch has Trinity as the number one small school followed by LN and Cardinal Ritter. People around these parts have seen all of the best teams in this area play and just about all will agree that it's CBC 1, East Side 2, and Trinity 3. I will also point to the LaSalle game (common opponent) where LN went there and lost 12-10 while Trinity went in and thumped them 33-0. Both teams are very talented, however. Believe what you want, but both are better than Ladue and Eureka. To hear some talk, Lutheran North is the 2nd best team in the metro. Only times I can recall them playing anyone in the Big 8 in the last 15yrs! Where’d the 4th win come from? Not saying you are wrong, just wanting to know if I’ve over looked a game.
That 4-4 team beat one of the top teams in Class 2 12-10. You as a football fan know that judging a team simply by their record, especially a team from a different state. I have seen LaSalle play with my own eyes and they would be one of the stronger teams in Class 3.Laselle is a 4-4 team. Yawn.
Hound Pound is a tough place to win. Think there has only been 1 or 2 losses since 2009. 4 1/2 hr bus ride from STL and hopefully they stop mowing the field to slow them down. lol
Maryville don't take kind to black folks... They have lynch mobs that string them up and burn them on school houses.

It’s evident the team isn’t top rank level. They are being talked about as much. Like it’s Uber impressive. I’m saying it’s not in the level of impressive. It’s a solid win. That’s all.
SOOOOOO, you're penalizing Trinity because LaSalle is having a relatively down season? Just so you know, beating ANYBODY that is pretty good in a power state by 33-0, is worth noting!
By the By, LaSalle had a very close loss to Ohio power Archbishop Moeller, and lost 23-0 to Ohio's #1 team and national power, Colerain!
I thought Center gave Maryville a tight game last year?Class 3 is soft! Last year the state championship game was Maryville and Chillicothe. Outside of those two teams there weren't really any above average teams in the state! IF Trinity can get past Maryville they will finally get their championship..
