Do you support shortening the basketball seasons (girls and boys) if we were able to preserve Thanksgiving Tournaments on the front end and secure state championship facilities earlier on the back end?

What is the logic behind member schools decision to condense season length for basketball?

More time for basketball student-athletes to prepare for spring sports (softball/baseball/soccer/tennis/track and field/golf)?

Increased time for those playing basketball to be with their AAU/EYBL/MAYB team?

Probably has something to do with the later start date that has been implemented and having seasons starting before football is over and ending after spring sports begin. I am not in favor of playing fewer games in a season. You have Arkansas who plays over 30 games a season. If you take away games, you take away opportunites for players to gain experience. Not all of them can afford to join AAU teams that travel all over the country to get exposure. Did anything come of the staggering of the girls and boys seasons?
