I don't care if it is the major leagues he needed to bench Carp after the first blunder of watching the ball he hit and missing 1st or at least after getting thrown out at 3rd on a rocket hit to CF on which he had to wait to see if it would be caught before he could take off making the 2nd out out with the pitcher coming up. Two major screw ups on two plays, just set him down!!!

I've seen freshmen HS players with better awareness than what he showed last night. Unreal. Shildt might be the softest dude I've ever seen. How you can watch that and not just get completely fired up is beyond me. I always thought MM put the success of the player in front of the team. When Shildt does something like that (by choosing not to do anything), it's nearly the same message...but man...these Birds are soaring!!! They're hot...

He couldn't score from 1B in the 9th when Bader hit one off the CF wall. Luckily Wong drove him in later. But man he has to be the worst base runner in the league. Yadi is a lot slower but gets way more done on the bases. Marp is embarrassingly bad.

I really kinda hope not, but idk how he can't. O'Neill, Bader, Fowler, Thomas, Arozarena, Carlson...it's a crowded place. And I see Ozuna being a guy that gets his big contract and loses motivation. I mean, hell, he's in a walk year and couldn't even bring himself to rehab in the offseason. I hope they at least extend a QO though. That makes sense.
