I would definitely take Tebow on my team. He is a great athlete, great work ethic, and a good leader. Sadly, I would not want him as my QB. I would probably have him at fullback and have him throw the occasional trick play.Originally posted by hangmanbobbyjaggers:
He has done more than a lot of the starting Qbs have...... won a playoff game!! I would take him on my team.
Dont understand the hate for Tebow. Do you hate Jesus or just to dumb to realize your sitting on your thumb and he made it!!!Originally posted by Mitsurugi san:

Get your facts straight; I've always been an advocate of Tebow's abilities as an NFL starter (especially considering how many shear boneheads out there who started at QB the majority of games for some NFL teams...)Originally posted by wc3peat:

Im not sure if he could have been a good or great starter in the right system or not. The guy was a winner in Denver cant argue facts. The guy was the ultimate college QB winner at Florida you cant argue that. Could he be an elite NFL QB, how many are? I would think he could compete against many starters that are playing now. Regardless my main thing with your post, to say Tebow isnt or wouldnt be an elite ATHLETE in the NFL is ridiculous. How many SEC records does the guy have being an athlete? Cant set SEC records in the greatest defensive conference in the country without being a tremendous athlete. At 6'3 and 230 I think there are quite a few positions Tebow could be a standout at. Problem is he wants to be a QB.Originally posted by wcowherd:
Tim Tebow is not a viable long term starter in the league. Not a good passer and not an elite NFL athlete.

Do you ever read a post and comprehend it? My post said:Originally posted by wcowherd:
Does he have the athleticism of Kap or Vick? College defenses are nothing like NFL defenses, and he was playing for urban Meyer, who's proven he makes every QB look great. It's not clear that athletes can be successful as a qb in the NFL, even freak athletes.
The stats speak for themselves. Tebow simply isn't NFL material.

I thought this was a great point (this is something that will be in the back of the minds of any NFL execs that ever consider drafting an Urban Meyer product going forward...)Originally posted by wcowherd:

It was a perspective on Tebow that I had not considered or heard yet...Originally posted by wcowherd:

And I'm just complementing you further
To hard headed to get past the QB. And no Kap is 6'4 not 6'6 and Tebow is 6'3 and slightly heavier. Once again you said Tebow wasnt as athletic. Kap beat him in one thing at the combine the 40. Tebow was better or faster at everything else. But hey a faster 40 means more athletic, lmao. If Tebow didnt praise GOD at everything he did openly I think he would be playing "SOME POSITION" in the NFL for someone. I guarantee you any CHIEFS fan would have rather had Tebow coming off the bench two years ago instead of Palko who is smaller and had a worse combine in every discipline than either Tebow or Kap. He must be a better athlete because he wipes his arse in a special way. Plain and simple Tebows open religious beliefs doomed him.Originally posted by wcowherd:
You're leaving out the fact that Kap is a legit 6'6", and as you pointed out he runs a .2 second faster 40, which is a lot. I already addressed your point about SEC defenses. Just not the same as NFL defenses. You can get by throwing ducks is college, can't do that in the NFL. I mean, just go look at his stats. They're terrible. Truly awful. That reason, more than any other, is why he's not on a NFL team right now.

To be fair, Tebow is on record as saying he only has interest in being a QB. He's been quoted plenty of times saying this. His "dream" is to be an NFL QB, not an NFL player. That is probably limiting him more than anything, not his open religious beliefs.Originally posted by wc3peat:

Really? Denver cut him and picked up Palko. The Jets cut him leaving them 5 QBs to battle for jobs. Mark Sanchez, Geno Smith they were going to stay but the others 35 yr old David Garrard, Greg McElroy and Matt Sims. Yeah Tebow couldnt compete with these 3.Originally posted by Eagles_Ball:
