I'm a MO fan. I think he does an awfully good job with the roster...except the playoff passes to dudes that have no business on the roster come playoff time. Wacha in 2014 comes to mind immediately. Not sure if it was MO that put Mejia on in whatever year that was. Always seems to be one goofy vet that's completely useless come playoff time (but has been on the roster most of the year) that gets on. He refuses to reach on guys (Upton, Price...got luckyish with The Mang and JHey) and wins far more deals than he seems to lose. This roster (40 man) has a great deal of depth. Young power pitching seems to be near endless. It's hard to argue. Just lack star power on offense. It's going to be fun to see what MO does this offseason to address this. But you can guarantee yourself this, he's not going to reach with a contract or trade. And I dig that. I think he plays the long game as well as anyone.
And if you think I'm wrong, that's cool. No biggie. But just remember, it could be Rueben Amaro or Jerry Dipoto pulling the strings for your team.
