This is Thayer's year to finally beat Valle!...

Sorry for the harshness. We've heard this before about moving to a different class. We don't make the rules. If we get the necessary number of students to move, then we get moved. This whole "it's not fair to others, give us a chance to go to the dome" argument is just tired. I guess I just don't understand the mentality of looking at a program that has achieved success and coming to the conclusion that, instead of dealing with it in your own program, it just makes sense to remove the successful program from the competition. I've been involved with this program when it was a perpetual doormat and seen/experienced what it has taken to get to this point. So, forgive me if I get a little defensive when people start with the " give someone else a chance" rhetoric.

That was an impressive drive by Lamar to pull the game out against Liberty MV in the last 2:30 Saturday. A team that doesn't throw much was forced to and that wheel route worked to perfection. I did feel sorry for the LMV kid who dropped a would be TD in the last few seconds that would have made it 14-13. I also thought interference should have been called on the last play at the goal line.

The Lamar kids proved they know how to win and that's what the elite programs do.

Who is the "give someone else a chance" rhetoric coming from?

Who is the "give someone else a chance" rhetoric coming from?

It was me and I wasn't saying I think someone else should have a shot.. What I said was About Valle Cath and beating everyone by 50-70 points a game in class 1... I stated my opinion that I think they might find more of a challenge in Class 2. I didn't say it to cause fights or bad blood I was simply giving my opinion... Its hard to get up for local class 1 football when you know no matter how good your team is you know who's going to win class 1 football every year.. Lamar and Liberty Mv was a great game for sure and they should be back next year for sure with all that young talent. I also cant wait for Lamar vs Valle next year should be great IMO.

No Not a Thayer Fan... I just stated my opinion they should move up ( Open Enrollment or Less money to go ) And take on a new challenge... Guess what I'm saying is If I was Floyd Mayweather I'd want to fight real fights not 6th Graders... I've seen Valle Play at least 4-5 times over the last 2 years they could move up and be fine. Its not just Valle either IMO schools Like Webb City Lamar should also its not just Valle :) And I know its based on number of kids in the school but Mshsaa should step in and make a rule were if you win 4-5 state titles in a row you should have to move up at least a few years.. I know its wishful thinking and dumb to others but I just don't get it.

The underlined would give one the impression that you want MSHSAA to institute a "give someone else a chance" rule. But I now understand what you meant by it. By the way, I was seriously pulling for Thayer, too.
