If playing college football (or even going to college at all) isn’t a goal then that’d explain why so few of those kids don’t do it. There’s nothing wrong with running your own business at 18-19. Getting a college education and continuing to play the sport you love isn’t for everyone.

From what I'm told Duck coached Will Compton who plays linebacker for the Tennessee Titans.

It's not. He also coached A.J. Haase who played at Iowa State and I believe Yale, and he may have coached a QB who was on the 49ers practice squad. Duck were you at Ste Gen for Faulkner?

No they wouldn't. Ask the officials doing the state final. They aren't disciplined enough. Having great athletes only goes so far.
Yea only gets you as far as a ring. A lot of the class 2/3/4 teams would’ve beat 5/6 schools this year. Blair Oaks wouldve smacked Jeff City, Trinity would smack Joplin/Kirkwood/Eureka. Lutheran North DID smack Chaminade. This year we actually had the big/small matchups to show it instead of just speculating.
I wish more big schools realized there's no penalty for playing down. In fact it may actually help their strength of schedule for district points.

They did and still lost. Mud affects speed, and since Trinity is the UNDENIABLY fastest team in the State regardless of class, it affected their offense. But none the less still won the game.
