with Cardinal Ritter and St. Marys both added to the bracket. Cardinal Ritter, St. Marys, Valle Catholic, Blair Oaks and Lutheran North all in the top half of the bracket...

Aren't all those schools relatively close? MSHSAA should have put them all in same district. Things are now going to get interesting on that side of the bracket.

Odessa vs ?

Valle ? Can't compete with CR or LN if they full strength
BO ? Don't think they are top contending team this year.
LN ? With limited games will talent be enough
CR ? Same story as LN

I've heard that St. Marys and Ritter will have games. LN might be 0-0 at the start of districts.

there is no assurance any of these teams will play. And how good will you be if you have had zero games?

Howell will crush them. Ritter is never real organized and beat small schools on the talent you won't beat this Howell team on the talent they have a ton. Ritter won't be in game shape and will wear out with such few players.

I coached against Ritter at least 6 times we beat them twice just on the numerous mistakes they would make. You better get your money back Howell is loaded they beat a good Troy team bad last week. Howell will have at least 25 kids playing and another 30 on the sideline.
Ritter will have maybe 30 total players with at least 9 going both ways. They have had no games they will tire out. Howell has played 5 games, they will be in much better shape. There is game shape and practice shape.

Hopefully the new coaching staff will change that. I agree about not being in game shape.

You probably shouldn't rule out a team from the Big 8 Conference just yet. That is a very strong conference. In the past dozen years how many state championships games has there been a team from that conference in. And they have won a few of them.
