Poplar Bluff's Marcedus Leech is one of the top players in the Missouri. Marcedus 6'6" has been out with a stress fracture for most of the season. Reports are, He's back " and the Mules are ready to roll. The SEMO Conference needs a strong team to compete with Sikeston to make things interesting.
I have the Poplar Bluff Mules winning class 5 district one. The Mules will be playing the district 2 winner ( One of the Zumwalts or Timberland ) and should advance to the quarter finals but the competition improves big time as either Chaminade or St. Louis University High will be waiting. The Mules quickly become a double digit underdog but anything can happen when Marcedus is on your team.
The winner in the above quarter-final game will be a favorite along with Webster to win a class 5 state championship.
The Poplar Bluff Mules defeated West Plains on 1-14-17---80-40 for their 10th win of the season.
