I highly doubt we'll see a run of 7 straight championships again. Amazing run from an amazing program. Hope those boys take this one in stride as I'm sure the weight of this loss is huge on them.

Congrats to Lathrop.

I watched a lot of Cassville 8th grade games this year. My son is a OL. And I think Lamar has quite a bit coming up. At least 3 last names of boys who had older brothers who were pretty darn good. And a few kids who seem skilled for 8th graders. Remind me of the seniors of 2016 class. I think Lamar won’t go far next year. But the following season may be a bounce back season for Lamar. I could see Lamar winning districts next season. But not much more than that.

I watched a lot of Cassville 8th grade games this year. My son is a OL. And I think Lamar has quite a bit coming up. At least 3 last names of boys who had older brothers who were pretty darn good. And a few kids who seem skilled for 8th graders. Remind me of the seniors of 2016 class. I think Lamar won’t go far next year. But the following season may be a bounce back season for Lamar. I could see Lamar winning districts next season. But not much more than that.

I had heard something along the same. Next year might be a challenge as well for Lamar but they likely have some championship caliber teams coming up again.
