Instead of voting for the candidate that most closely represents your core values, you vote for the party that does. That seems to be irrational, and lacking in intellectual effort.

Think about this to get dominated for committees, to get backing, to get Elected long term you have to Follow the Party line. How often do you see Party members vote outside the established parameters of the Party? And if they do what usually happens to them. It happens on occasion if they are well established in their state but it usually comes with ramifications long term.

We have a two party system, winner take all. Once a person is elected Dem/GOP and they want to gain influence and get on committees and wield power they have to dance to the party line they have pledged allegiance to.

You seem to in error believe that one Elected Official has more Power than the Group Cronies that are in Control of the system. I literally gave you two examples of people who stood on their own principles and where ostracized by their party's for those principles.

In short I know once a person is elected their core values are meaningless they will tow the party line 95% of the time its how politics works. I'm not gullible enough to think that Politicians are going to change the system or step outside the Party Power.

The party set's and controls the Politicians much more than you realize.

I've read this opinion piece before. It's nuanced speculation if you don't find hard core evidence of a conspiracy it's not a conspiracy.

The obstruction case needs to be prosecuted to be proven.... Mueller had his opinion and others have theirs.

Either something is collusion or not....

The response to spying was pure spin and legalize.

If they had the goods on Trump, and the goods could still be out there, they would of got those goods and then got him and he would be a footnote in history as the first U.S. President to go to prison.

I seem to remember 2 dems that held up half the stuff Biden and the party leaders wanted to get passed. I haven't heard of any retaliation against them. BTW it's "toe the line" not "tow" it.

Yep... toe the line is correct. And yes Manchin escaped Retaliation because the Dem still needed his vote for the Rec. Budget. There was big talk of taking away his Chairmanship from the Senate Energy and Natural Resource committee. But they was afraid he would run as a independent Win and Give Mitch McConnell control as a minority leader of the Senate. The Dem also want him to continue to run as a Dem and win because if he retires a Rep. probably will win his spot in a state that Gave DT 69% of their votes. So yes Manchin do to circumstances escaped any censure from his party but that is not the norm, clearly you don't deep dive into the behind the scenes stuff much.

I don't think Sinema has much power committee wise and probably won't after taking a stand. And according to Rolling Stones/Atlantic articles the Progressive Wing of the party are already plotting her ouster in the Primary come 2024 if that is not retaliation I don't know what is. When your own Party wants to remove a sitting Senator and Risk a Rep. taking control well you might see it different but Most will agree she has not Been toeing the party line so she must pay for her independence by losing her seat.

She still has that extra vote. It doesn't take any deep diving to figure out those two hold all the cards. They stalled a lot of stuff and some never did get passed.

You may recall that the Pubs refused to help him with his desire to get energy permits approved not long before the elections... Mitch Mc Connell publicly turned him down. He'll continue to do what he does but I sincerely doubt that he will be switching political parties to do it.

What about Benghazi? That Clinton dept. ignored reports and then wrote other reports to cover it up and that the Obama Administration Blamed the incident on Web video's which was a complete lie. Or that Clinton dept was worried about what the Marines where wearing and had to keep changing Uni's in the name of diplomacy and then never deployed them to save lives. Yeah I recall it...and you do know the report didn't even focus on Clinton as much as it did the series of events.

I mean the 7 million on that investigation is small fries to the 43 million on Trump's Mueller report. What I gather is that the GOP needs to up their game 7 million and a couple of months that's not how you play the Game.
