The Democrats in NYC are cooking the Books

yes the Pinto. When Ford realized the Pinto exploded frequently when rear ended and quite a few Americans died because of it.

But when they compared the cost of recalling all of the cars vs the cost of paying off a few hundred families who sued, they decided to let em die.

Thus, they literally calculated the value of a human life. When the whistleblower let that cat out of the bag, I can tell you it caused an uproar. People were disgusted.

Yep, sometimes it costs companies money to keep people safe. Deal with it.

Dude, you don't care about life. Guarantee you're pro-choice.

In this case people and businesses have the choice to open up and go to work if they feel safe doing so.

It’s real if a man dies of breast cancer too and it actually happens to hundreds of men every year but statistically it is pretty insignificant.

The point isn’t that a young person can’t catch it and die or pass it on to someone older and vulnerable. It is that someone over 65 with underlying health conditions can die of Flu A as well and thousands do each year and it doesn’t shut down the economy indefinitely.

I’m not saying don’t take reasonable precautions but there has never been nor will there likely every be a time when there isn’t going to be a small but not zero risk that some people aren’t going to be sick and die from a virus and we should quit acting like there is going to be a time when that is true.

Arkansas Lazerback is the type of twitter troll who will argue that we shouldn't teach children that humans have ten fingers and ten toes because every once in a while someone will have an eleventh finger or toe. It's statistically improbable, but it does happen, so we shouldn't teach a set number.

He probably also thinks there are 46 genders...

This would be logically consistent. Healthy young people better stop skydiving and driving cars too. Too dangerous

Testing does NOTHING to stop the virus!
The virus will spread again as soon as things go back to normal. Unless there is a vaccine or sure fire treatment there is no way to prevent it. Even with a vaccine, tens of millions get the flu every year. All the shutdown chaos has done is prevent a surge that could overwhelm the healthcare system (hasn't even been real close to that) but spread out the infections for a longer time frame.
Can we learn things from testing....yes. Valuable things....yes. Does it change the outcome....very little.
I know IF you ever watch the news and they show videos made by doctors and nurses showing hospitals with the halls lined with patients on oxygen and their ICU filled to capacity with more needing to be in there that it must be 'fake news.'

The ones from Italy or the nurse that wasn’t a nurse?

I know it’s bad in places, but how many? Very very very few.

Exactly. I know the situation here in SWMO. I know the hospitals built in NY are pretty much empty. I know there might be hot spots (liberal ran cesspools) that aren't empty but i'm not aware of any city that doesn't have enough beds or ventilators. Maybe someone can enlighten me.

I heard today the place in Greene Co. that has a little cluster is a mail sorting facility. haven't heard anymore on the numbers since the original 65 in quarantine with something like 14 positives.

Don't know where you get your info but the Greene Co. page has 1-2 new positives a day for over a week.

"Liberal ran cesspools" This is exactly why this is a political story, and not the health care crisis we should consider it is.
The number of times this has been diminished on here attempting to defend decisions that put lives at risk has become crazy. If Americans can't find away to put politics aside, and worry about each other we are never going to agree on anything.

I really enjoy seeing no text next to Ducky's name. It does make me happier.

I hope you're wrong about all the nasty negative things you want to happen. and...I can say that and just move on.

Good time to buy stocks.

Sure it does. You can't really reopen in any meaningful way if you don't have better capabilities to tell who is spreading the virus and who should stay home.

YOU said 1-2 new positives for over a week, how would be all in one day?
If a positive was found, wouldn't they test the rest? Why would the positives be spread out over a week then? The TESTING and RESULTS should all have occurred on the same days not spread out.

Do they get results back the same day with their tests/ I know some do and some are days later.

I assume they all were tested by the same place the same day.
There haven't been 10 new cases in the last week and a half in Greene county.

Ok my wife is the one that told me about this and she got it from the KY3 news facebook page so I have to assume it's true. She is on facebook, I'm not. Some of her extended family lives in that area and we have a few friends over there so she keeps up with some news from that area. She told me today that there is an outbreak in a nursing home over there too. She thinks it is in Nixa. Maybe if you actually watch some news you would know about it. I'm sure even if you saw it on TV you think it's fake news like everything else you say is fake news. If YOU don't see it with your own eyes it just didn't happen.

Well, if KY3 said it that would trump the Greene county health department.

So I should believe the news rather than the EXPERTS???
The GCHD said there were TWO new cases total last week.
So where do you suppose KY3 got this information from that they were willing to put their name on? I kinda doubt they just made it up out of the blue.

It wasn't the experts so you tell me.
Maybe you can tell me why your local news station would put out bad information about this very serious issue. I don't live there so I don't see that news cast unless I'm in a motel there and I haven't been there since last June when I went for a baseball tourney my grandson played in a few miles out but I assume they tell the truth as they've been told the story.

That damn Ned Reynolds from KY3, conspiring to take down our leader.

NBC????

It's your local news station, not World News Tonight. I don't know why I ever bother, with you it's always the same silly crap.
Hey, you went off spouting unsubstantiated rumors from a news source that are wrong according to the experts. Then you ask ME why they would do that. There is only one plausible reason....they don't care about accuracy! Apparently you don't either.

You have to know that is just a stupid thing to say about your local news station. They ain't gonna risk their station to give out bad information about a local issue like this. I know you think you're right ALL THE TIME but you are NOT!

You are saying the health department is wrong. Must be hard for a Dem to decide whether to believe government or the news.

I have no idea who is right, how would I know what that health department says? Where do you suppose KY3 got their numbers? Did they just pull them out of thin air and put it out on their facebook page? Has their facebook page been hacked by someone who wants to spread false information? YOU have ALL the answers ALL the time so YOU tell me.

I don't see facebook and I don't live in that area. It's on the KY3 facebook page. I'll ask again, was their page hacked or do you think they just plain want to lie to their customers? Surely if it wasn't true they would have retracted it with an apology. Where do YOU think they got the numbers, YOU live over there, surely you've heard something by now since you know EVERYTHING!!! Oh never mind, don't bother to reply because it'll be something about how smart you are and anybody that doesn't agree with you is waaaay off the mark about any and everything.
