The border

Texas passed a law to allow police to arrest illegals. The DOJ is seeking to repeal the law, Why??? Geez!!!
Here is why. The law says they can pull anyone over they “suspect” could be an illegal alien. In other words they can harass the shit out of anyone with dark skin with absolutely no probable cause.

So states have the right to supersede federal authority..? Surely you realize what a horrible precedent that would set !
Do you mean like we already do with legal marijuana state laws, and gambling laws and prostitution laws ?

Do you mean like we already do with DWI checkpoints and border patrol checkpoints??

DWI checkpoints stop people randomly by law. Checking people at the border is perfectly fine. But driving around San Antonio Hispanic doesn’t mean you can be pulled over.

LOL if you happen to be driving on a highway with a DWI road block set up, your ass is going to be stopped and you will be questioned, if you want to call that random.

Border states like TX and AZ do have immigration checkpoints miles from the border.

Here's a thought - enter the country LEGALLY and you don't have to worry about being checked. Quit making excuses for people breaking the law.

Omg. Are you mental? I’m talking about someone who may have lived here legally for 30 years being pulled over with no probable cause. That is why they object to the way the Texas law is written. You are more maga every day.

I've gone thru DWI roadblocks, ID'ed and questioned, I did nothing wrong. Lived here all my life!! I didn't like it but guess what? NO BIG DEAL I was LEGAL. How does believing in following the law make me mental or maga? What part of "illegal" is so hard for you to understand?? Are there any other laws that are OK to break and law enforcement to ignore.

I've held my beliefs on immigration all of my life. It's about right and wrong. I will say the process needs fixed so it doesn't take years for law abiding migrants to become citizens. Either come here legally or stay where you are and wait your turn. And let;s not pretend all 16M+ illegals living here are all God-fearing, tax paying, upstanding citizen, or are you that clueless on what is happening in the towns and cities in the Southwest?

Cry your river to somebody else!!

Did they pull you over because of your race? Or were they pulling everyone over? You must have huge feet because it’s obvious you have never walked in another man’s moccasins.

Your solution is open the border and let every Tom, Pablo, and Abdul come and stay as long as they please, no questions asked? No, thanks. You can preach to me after you give away all your worldly possessions to the poor and go spread the words of the Bible.

I am fine with legal immigration, like every other country in the world does.

We have had millions and millions of illegals enter our country in the past 40 years. And your life hasn’t changed one iota. But carry on with your drama. I get a chuckle out of it.

I'm just trying to imagine the staggering inflation, etc. that would take place if all undocumented workers were to suddenly disappear. The American economy might collapse. No, the economy would collapse. Looking at it objectively, people want to take a principled stance on legal vs illegal immigration, but the elephant in the room is that they are a huge part of the foundation of our economy, right or wrong. Most don't really understand the unintended consequences of no longer having that massive supply of cheap labor.

Do you mean like the economy was suppose to collapse when Biden was elected?
bUT inFlaTION!?!!11!!!eleven!!11!!!

Inflation:

"If the money supply grows too big relative to the size of an economy, the unit value of the currency diminishes; in other words, its purchasing power falls and prices rise."

Now I wonder what could have caused that.

I saw several Iowa farmers interviewed last week. All voted for Trump in 2016. They were very concerned about Trump’s plan to scare off/horde up their workers if he is elected again. They will be screwed.

But who needs vegetables.

He did give them lots of welfare after he screwed up the world economy with his tariffs.
