Tell me about Platte County

Look Dr will have his kids ready to play if they can slow the PC offense down they have the athletes to keep this game close. I just think PC is on a mission to win and this is one step in the way of doing that.

He will give those kids the fiery Bo Schembechler speech of all time Saturday before leaving the locker room..................

Amd webb could be class 4. Whats your point?
either you are insanely moronic or you just dont know how this works.
Webb is 200 kids from the bubble and trending up 25-30 kids a year. thats a much different position than Ozark is in. I swear the Webbies I met down there act nothing like the ass clowns on here who if we dont talk about how great they are go into complete triggered mode

I'd love that. We need to face off down the road. Both programs are well stocked..................
much more likely that happens at C5 than C4 unless the unhappiness with the coach combined with Nixas current success causes a reverse of the Sw shuffle that goes on down there

I'm not sure why classification was brought up, it's irrelevant, just a lighthearted jab that it (lost to ozark) happened and could happen again if Webb City keeps playing so poorly in the regular season. Which, for the record I think is unlikely but we'll see.

You're right a lot of fans there are pretty great but there are more than a few that are so ate up with WC football that when it doesn't go right, their entire world no longer makes sense. I'm not sure people from other parts of the state really get how big of a deal football is to Webb City.

THIS THIS THIS is why I posted the "Kearney life or death" BS a week ago..................

Watching Webb the whole season, they were extremely lucky to be playing beyond the regular season. Only the last 3 games before PC did they actually have any fire and play somewhat as a cohesive unit. This was probably the worst Webb team in over 40 years. With that being said the PC team was solid. The qb was very good and made good decisions. He has plenty of zip but also great ball placement. Their RB's are deceptive, fast and shifty. The coaching staff does a good job with mismatches and puts them in good positions. The biggest issue is their secondary. Even a team that doesn't pass like Webb got behind them several times. I think you would need to put lots of pressure on the qb early and log jam the line in order to get them out of their comfort zone and make some mistakes. The PC team has lots of tools but I wasn't like OMG they are unbeatable. I think some of the past Webb/Kearney teams were definitely better as a unit. I will say the coaching at Webb is the big question mark. Webb was definitely out coached this past Friday. Good luck to PC.

Forget the state tournament. Right now in KC everyone would rather finish like this:

Liberty vs. Kearney

Platte County vs. Lee's Summit North

Winner vs. Winner
Ummm no we all want the state titles here in KC we can do hypo later

However even if hypo was to happen we would rather have the 2 C6 go against each other and the HWY 92 showdown may need a bigger stadium than either of them have for that and then winner vs winner

Man, look at all the empty seats at Webb

Yeah I thought the same thing when I arrived at 6:45 and easily found a seat with some friends at the 40yd line. I know it was a bit cold but still, I've seen more fans that that travel 3 hours away on a Monday to stand in freezing rain.

What was interesting is that a lot of the crowd that did go, true to form was there at like 5:30 even though it was totally unnecessary.

Have done the adverse weather thing sooooo many times but webcasting etc. has made it much easier to stay home and watch. The other point is the "early arriving crowd". That is such a rarity anymore until you get outside the cities.

I think there would be less fans if the kneo feed wasnt so horrible. Forces them to go to the games.

A lot of Webb City still shows up early. I can't really figure out why but they do. Maybe it's habits/culture holdover from the old stadium days where if you weren't there by 6 you weren't getting a seat period. You had to take off work and get in line at 3pm if you wanted anywhere in front of the press box. I can remember people showing up at noon to get in line for big games. I think there is still somewhat of a scarcity mentality with regards to seating among WC fans.

As sparse as this crowd was they did show up for the district game at Carthage. Not like the games these schools used to have in the '00s and early '10s but still pretty respectable.
