I guess I'm too old school but but Craig, or somebody on the bench, would have been sent to RF after Taveras failed to run after tapping a ball that hit behind the plate and ended up in fair territory and was tagged out. You HAVE to run, the umpire will bring you back if it's foul. You just never know what might happen if you make them make a throw.

That was stupid. Thank God my Matt's show up ready to play.

You mean the Matt that was a dog when he had 40 RBI but now that he has 50 he's "your Matt"? Or the Matt that has 400 career doubles and scored 1000 runs that you have always thought was not very good?

All of those Matt's were taken out today because the entanglement at 2nd base. Not a good time for him get banged up. They said no concussion but it could be a neck strain or something like that that could feel worse tomorrow than it does today. Hope he's back in there Sunday night, or at least by Tuesday.

And I hope Taveras starts taking advantage of any playing time he gets with some screamers in the gaps. I don't even know what to think about Craig anymore.

Have not seen much of the Birds this weekend because I've been busy getting my youngest married so maybe I should stay away from watching as they seem to be doing pretty good. Going up tomorrow night so I'm sure they will probably get beat! Go Birds
