Katie plays at a D2 in California. Not sure why she left Grand Canyon. She did well her freshman year. Her sister is the 2nd best player on CJ this year.

She was WAC Freshman of the year at Grand Canyon. And was first team all conference, led the league in scoring and set GCU single game scoring record. All as a freshman and she left..

That doesn’t make any sense unless she just wanted to be closer to home.

But I’m going to assume not since after Oral Roberts she headed to Cali. That’s wild

The team CJ plays tomorrow night at 830 went 43-0 last year. The game tonight is the only game in this tournament I expect them to win.

Watched the Northside game this afternoon… good video production work although the play by play and color guy spent more time talking football than basketball.
If CJ cuts down on the turnovers and does a better job of taking care of the ball, they would have won today and twice last week by 20+.
They did a good job of forcing turnovers only to give it right back. A lot of travel violations and forced passes.

I understand it’s a hometown team in a hometown showcase style tournament and perhaps to be invited back you don’t want to run up the score on the home team … but in an event like this a team must also have the “put a team away” instinct and not content with an 18-point lead.
Northside vs. Sapulpa in the 7 pm semifinal will be good game. Watched a little of the Sapulpa game and they’re loaded.

Destiny's little sister hit 2 threes. She is unrecognizable from last year. They couldn't put her on the court in JV games last year.

Worked the OCC men’s game tonight so I didn’t get to watch the first semifinal… got home in time to catch the end of the CJ boys game on YouTube, the final five seconds of the first semifinal game and watching CJ now up 30-24 at halftime. Better job not turning it over tonight, just need more shots to fall and more stops.
