Sure is quiet...

Well I do think there will be a lot less pregame cockiness from a few of the WC posters.

I think despite the problems WC had last week that WC comes in as a favorite but the last time WC went to Nixa it was the closest to a COC loss that the Cards have come.

Other than the scores I've seen I don't know much about Nixa so far. They were the C5 runner up last year and they definitely were impressive in their win last week.

Never to early I just think with a busy college schedule and the NFL finally getting it going the weekend has been a blur. WEBB wins as long as they eliminate the silly or inexperienced turnovers they had last week. Running game is to strong. Will probably be close but if WEBB gets some early stops they can force Nixa into having to take chances and possibly making mistakes. I think WEBB gets the train back on the track and wins comfortably something around 35 -20 WEBB.

Clearly think it depends on how much experience Webb has in the game. I think some of the changes last week due to injuries caused enough movement in positions that it left us weaker than expected. Likely another week without key players, making this one possibly our most difficult game in a long time. Hey you cant beat a good nail biter on Friday night, cant wait...best of luck to both teams and hope for no more injuries.

Last year, the win against Rockhurst in week 2 looked a little better looking back after each subsequent week. This year the win against RH looks a little less impressive each week.

I thought HarBer was the real deal and was very impressed that we won by 10. Then i saw the stats. Now im not sure how we pulled it off. Ill take the win but we really cant afford any more injuries.

Without tyson webb just needs to play clean and without turnovers. If he plays; they have a wider margin of mistakes they can get away with

Nixa's run defense is very good. They have a big, strong, experienced line that was very effective at stopping the run vs Willard. Willard did burn their secondary twice for long (70 & 90 yard TD's). Their QB (Mr Everything) does a pretty good job but does not throw the ball very well. He's definitely more of a threat running the ball. Although he did throw a long pass to a wide open receiver, he missed short throws to wide open receivers.Their running back (32) is very good and looked phenomenal vs Willard but Willard's line was mismatched in size and experience.

Nixa's line this year reminds me of Willard's from last season. Maybe not quite as big, but big nonetheless and very experienced. Strong kids.

From the Springfield Newsleader:

Nixa will attempt to beat Webb City for the first time in 15 tries Friday night. Webb City enters the game having won five consecutive state championships and presently ranks 17th in the USA Today Super 25 computer rankings.

Nixa comes into the game 3-1 having reached the Class 5 state championship game a season ago, and having just vanquished Central Ozarks Conference foe Willard 55-13.

Eagles quarterback and strong safety Logan Tyler said after the Willard game that he was “very excited,” to play Webb City, and immediately asked what the score was in a game between Webb City and Republic. The Tigers trailed 22-18 at the end of three quarters, but Webb City scored two touchdowns in the final 12 minutes to close out a 36-18 victory.
