Sullivan Upsets Pacific

This was Pacifics year. Would loveto hear what happened from anyone who was there. Talking about bad luck. Pacific and winning districts has been a very hard thing to do. Boys and girls. Theyve had some good teams

I walked in with 4 min left in the first quarter and sullivan was up 4-0. Pacific was tight.. Nervous.. Missed 6-7 layups for the quarter and let sullivan build momentum to a 12 point halftime lead. Devon Fleming put the Indian girls on her back in the second half and closed the gap slowly. Her 5th foul was crucial and should have been an and 1 to tie it up. Ref called a charge. Pacific then had their 2 other bigs foul out before the end of the game Sullivan kept missing FT and pacific hung around until the Indian PG got a reboud w/ 3 seconds left off a FT down by 2. She crossed half court and let it fly and was tackled in the air at the buzzer. For some reason the refs conferred, put time on the clock at .3 and gave her a 1 and 1 instead of 3 free throws for the win. And the sophomore guard was nothing but net for both of them forcing OT.

Pacific turned it over 6 times in OT and couldn't grab a FT rebound. Overall it wasn't a well played game. Sullivan had a great game plan to attack from the high post off the dribble and had 20-24 points in layups throughout the game.

Sullivan is always a dangerous team. They are used to winning, which makes it easier to keep on winning.
