It appears the house has been purchased and enrollment is near. I will not give the name but the 6'5" basketball player could help in district and sectionals games.

Can we name other " House Hunting " families in Missouri that might tilt the odds in conference, district and state play?

Class 5 Columbia Rock Bridge appears to be the preseason pick to win a state championship. Three big possible all state players returning.

St. Louis Vashon will be favored in class 4 with all pieces returning.

In other news around St. Louis---The VanLeer family and their two very successful sons will not be playing basketball next year. Cullen VanLeer will not be in uniform for the Missouri Tigers this year because of career ending injury. The younger VanLeer will play golf in college. These two young men will be remembered for their basketball skills for years to come.

This maybe a bad year for house hunting in the city of St. Louis, Columbia and Sikeston, Missouri if basketball is a priority. Special financing on home in Franklin County, Camdenton, Mexico and Springfield, Missouri if basketball is a priority. Dogfather1 may have zero financing in Mexico, Mo. for the right family. Yes indeed, DOGFATHER1 has the potential to be " Missouri Realtor Of The Year. "

Why do you always have to be so cryptic and sensational? If you know something you'd like to say to say just say it without all the games. :(

The soccer-basketball player moving to Farmington, Missouri from Perryville will help the Farmington Knights compete in basketball with Hillsboro for a class 4 district 2 championship. Cole Gerstenberger 6'5" is known for his athletic abilities in Soccer however Cole is a very good basketball player as well.

I have Hillsboro and Farmington as co-favorites to win class 4 district 2 next year.

Hillsboro almost pulled the upset over top ranked Sikeston in class 4 sectional before losing 56-57 last season. Sikeston moved on to defeat St. Mary's in the quarters before dropping two games in the final four in Springfield.

MSHSAA could change the districts and sectionals assignment for next season and I'm betting they do. I believe Sikeston will not be playing in St. Louis in a quarter-final game next season but be sent toward Springfield. The favorite to win class 4 next season will be Vashon.

If you have ever had a MSHSAA rep explain the process of how districts are made and what they go through to secure playoff spots you probably rethink the statement about Sikeston not being in a quarterfinal with STL based teams.

metro...I hear Vashon may be in Class 3 next year due to a drop in enrollment.

Rocket, Vashon's enrollment was 616 students last year. I'm not sure where the cut off between Class 3 and class 4 will be in 2019. I can see Vashon winning class 3 or class 4 in 2019.

If Vashon is not a class 4 school in 2019, St. Louis may not have a high school team capable of winning a class 4 state championship. I have the Sikeston Bulldogs having a strong team in 2019. Farmington will be good next year and capable of doing big things.

Sikeston has 967 students in high school. I'm guessing Sikeston will be a class 5 high school in the near future.

Is that the enrollment for grades 9-12? Last year, the break between class 4 and 5 was somewhere between Webb City and Carthage in basketball ... which would have been somewhere around 1200 for the four grades.

Just looked it up. In this last cycle, class 4 in basketball had schools with enrollment from 548-1276.

The top number of 1276 traditionally creeps up every year. 14 years ago it was at about 1160. Unless Sikeston sees a huge bump in enrollment they will never hit Class 5.
