Student newspaper suspended for investigating “transfers”

Heck in Missouri it don't have to be for academic reasons anymore. Having a safe space all you need.

Good job students but...the SC ruled years ago in the Kirkwood case that student newspapers aren't real newspapers. They are class projects and as such 1st Amendment press freedoms don't apply.

However, school boards and administrators don't have a historically good track record of standing up to public pressure.

"Although the paper is currently banned from publishing, Roberts told Buzzfeed News the student staff is still working on its latest edition, which will cover the district’s censorship of the paper."
