This should be a battle tonight. Both defenses came to play. Strafford had 1 1st down and Miller had maybe 4. Strafford had 1 long pass for the TD right before the lightning delay. A nice audible call. Good athletes on both sides of the ball. Both coaches had a nice game plan. Should be interesting? Obviously the rain and mud can be a factor. Miller is certainly bigger up front.

I agree mostly.
That TD pass was a thing of beauty. Strafford has good if not great receivers and the coverage was great. That was a perfect pass and the receiver ran the route to time it perfectly. Up to that point, I saw no indication Strafford was going to do anything and while Miller was moving the ball, it was all hard earned. Can't be there tonight (previous commitment) and it is agonizing because of what I saw last night. I hoped the weather would clear (thought Miller was more physical) but looks to still be sloppy.

Hats off to Strafford! After a hard fought 14-7 halftime score. They blew the lid off in the 2nd half. The Strafford seniors stepped up. Miller has a lot of talent. They found some things to work on and should bounce back.

Was this the only game postponed in the state? What was the rationale to delay it?

Non stop lightning. There were a couple of others. Willow/cabool, the fair grove game.

About 4 inches of rain over 2 hrs with lightning that wouldn't stop. Many others were delayed for periods and a couple other postponements. When I left it looked like there were 6 inches of water across the field.
Rain isn't an issue for Miller teams as far back as 1994.
