State Champion Predictions

Valle will be very tough in Class 2 dropping down from Class 3.

Hannibal returns Aneyas Williams and lots of talent around him and will be very, very good Class 4.

Bowling Green will once again be very good in Class 2.

Cape Central returns almost everybody after their magical post-season run in Class 5 last year.

Cape spoiled the anticipated Dr. Fred vs. Fort semifinal!

But coaching a rowboat team is still going to lose to a motorboat team...... ;)

Now I can agree on some but again I have to say Blair Oaks has to still prove they won't slow down on offense or their defense has to make up the difference and that is a big difference. Not saying it isn't possible but I would like to give it a couple of weeks to see post-Dylan Hair era of the Blair Oaks offense.
Agree with you 100 per cent but dayum I read where they return 10 of 11 starters on D from a state championship team. They should be stronger and better. Still, everyone knows what a difference maker Hair was and part of their defense was Hair keeping the ball away from the opponent and just plain outscoring them. Don't know who they have in the QB room but can't imagine anyone capable of running their RPO offense as well as Hair.

Didn't I see a ridiculously low number for Worth County on here somewhere? Was that pre-co-op with somebody?
They partner with Northeast Nodaway (Ravenwood MO). Back in my youth that school was famous for Basketball. Jefferson (Conception Junction MO) is the huge power in that sport now. They are part of the Platte Valley co-op Worth is playing Friday. A KEY 8-man opener.

To those of you who didn't add the "A" to the class designations, I say, "Thank you."
My boomer dad still uses the "A" every time and I even hear it occasionally on the local news sports coverage. They will say it like "class 5A".

My 70+ year old dad will still use the A when talking about classes. It doesn't bother me one bit nor does it when someone on a message board uses the A either. Having said that you would think the local news and press would know and address it correctly.

Only doing the classes I feel to some level confident about.

Class 2 Lamar
Class 3 Seneca

I feel the experience and competition for these two teams (barring injuries) will put both of them at the top come Championship time.

I believe 2002-03 was the first year they dropped that. They started slowly moving away from general classification that year.
Seriously...why do some people get so riled up when somebody else mistakenly uses an "A" when referencing classes? Is it a crime or really that offensive?

I know it's not correct to say 1A or 4A...but it really that big of a deal?
